Yeh he nails the role doesn't he. Dare I say too much comedy in this one though? Really clashed with Gorr's character.

Also: Zeus accent made me want to walk out.

Haha yeah that was painful. Being half Greek myself it was especially grating but I thought the performance as a whole was pretty good. Agree that the tone was a bit odd but I didn’t really mind it to be honest.

I just don’t get why he had an accent? They’re gods worshipped by people with accents, not the other way round. He sounded half Russian, half Italian. If that’s coming all Thor 5 I’m not watching.

Saw the new Thor today.

It wasn't the best Marvel film but I still enjoyed it. I thought Gorr was a good villain although he didn't get enough screen time. Unlike in Ragnarok way too many of the jokes fell flat which left parts of the film quite cringy.

Thor: Love and Thunder

Very entertaining, very funny, lacks something that I can't pinpoint but not as good as Ragnarok was. Bale's Gorr is brilliant but I feel like the character, and his potrayal, are too dark compared to the rest of the film and it's maybe a bit wasted. Some scenes in it I also wish would have died at the cutting part. 2 post-credits scenes but skip the last one as it's pointless like Doctor Strange's was.

I felt like they tried to fit way too much into a short runtime, which meant it wasn't as cohesive as Ragnarok was.

Saw the film Nitram today. Really hard watch in the current circumstances. Great performances all round.

Not film. But watched back to back episodes of boys from the black stuff last night on BBC4. Gripping and depressing in the same vein. A liverpool i remember even though i enjoyed growing up in it.

Hopefully that's the end of it, the warm fuzzy ending suggests it will be.

The first 3 got progressively worse, but even 3 was 'ok'

The new ones are just poor.

Bit of s head bender to start with and I like the way, they very slowly introduced the clues to the little girls “ abilities”

The young girl was truly outstanding and I liked the part Bruce Dern, played as her grandfather too.

It’s not a movie really meant for adults is it, as we can all see the cliches and nonsense…..so I rate this one highly, as it gave my two young sons nothing but brilliant entertainment. They came out of the theater absolutely buzzing. And I for one, love seeing that!

Point is, for me it's the weakest of the lot. And to be the weakest of the newer ones takes some doing.

At least Claire was wearing decent 'running' shoes this time when she 'out ran the same super-fast raptors that nearly caught up with Owen on his bike'. In the last movie she had her white high heels on! lol
