Interesting film this, I remember them coming out, loads of kids wanted them, I had Le Coq Sportif! I did like Nike Air though that came out a few years later

Legion of Superheroes - latest DC Comics animated film largely centred around Supergirl and a clone of villain Braniac teaming up to stop a threat to the academy.

Minions Rise of Gru - finally got round to seeing this, the second prequel to the Despicable Me films, a few funny moments but largely average story. There’s a fun extra on the Blu Ray of the cast in the recording studio doing their lines and just having a ball, Danny Trejo and JCVD especially

Sleepy Hollow
A good looking film, and an okay mystery with some wooden dialogue. Mr Depp in fine form. It felt long towards the end though. 6/10

Got home from work yesterday and my daughter is staying in mine for a few days so we decided to have a film night…. Watched 2 great films which for some unknown reason I’d never watched before…

Watched Clerks 3 the other night. The opening had me thinking the worst and that it was gonna be another dismal self indulgence like the Jay & Bob reboot but it picked up with a surprisingly emotional plot. Of course there are a load of self-references and 'member this moments but it was a lot better than I'd anticipated.

Finally watched Malignant By James Wan.

Get through the first hour and half which is his standard horror / haunted house set up, and quite boring, but then sit back and enjoy the 3rd act, where the movie loses its mind, and descends into completely ludicrous schlock.

Edit: also watched ‘There’s something wrong with the children’, which is kinda the opposite. Good tension building and character interactions for the first 2 acts, and it really had my attention, then it fails to stick the landing and fizzles out to a boring conclusion.
