Enter the Void is one of the best for it, although non western films seem to be better at that kind of thing anyway as they don't have to worry about distribution as much

I finally watched "Under the Silver Lake"...quite enjoyed it. It has some amazing sets and it's just a silly bizarre romp through LA, via some conspiracy-theory/subliminality stuff. Sort of comedy noir. Really good cast. It's a bit like Mulholland Drive meets "The Game" with a soundtrack that feels like it's from an old Colombo episode. Don't take it too seriously.
