Last Film You Watched

I'm a fan, for what it's worth, largely because the roles I best remember him in - Manchester by the Sea, Jesse James - his indifference suits the part, usually hinting at some unspoken trauma or longing.

Take your point though, he's no Nic Cage.
It could just be his acting style... I don't know. Better then his brother Ben though? Didn't mind him until he started being a jarg batman, FFS!

Oh, and there's only ONE Nic cage! 😜
Manchester By The Sea his best movie
There's another one called 'A Ghost Story'.

A bit of a slow burner, but it's worth it until you get to the last frame of the film and then it all makes sense.

That song.

I refuse to type it out.

Our loveable neighbours sing it and SKY/TNT/Whoever go into some kind of hushed reverence so we can all enjoy the famous atmosphere.

It's used in the final big shootout.

I'd really enjoyed the film up until that dirge cranked up.

Oh sorry yeh, forgot all about that. Think I even complained about it on here back when I first watched it.

I use a more appropriate variant of it: You'll never wank alone...

Because pounds to pennies, you can bet that that lot get together on a regular basis and have a huge circle jerk to pictures and videos of all their favourite RS players.

F'ing weirdo mutants!

'Talking pictures' channel, freeview channel 82. How did this happen, A carpenter classic I've not seen yet on against a classic in the making in Paris. Conflicted.
Dunno how, but this is on Sky Mix (freeview 11) tonight at 10pm. Had to miss the first half the other night cos of the Ireland romp vs France. Someone heard my prayers after all.
In other filmfest news this evening... 'The monuments men' is on bbc2 at 10pm, but I've gone right off Clooney - there's only so much smug I can handle, and I've had quite enough for a few lifetimes.
'Raiders of the lost ark' on E4 at 8pm and E4+1 at you guessed it 9pm
'Die hard' on filmfour at 9pm (a load of old bullspit straight after starring* nic coppola btw)
'Moonlight' bbc three at 9pm
'Mermaids' ITVbe at 9pm (love you Hoskins)
'Layer Cake' 5star 9pm (go Gambon!)
'Enemy of the state' 5action 9pm
'Mission Impossible' (1996) 4seven at 10pm

Plenty to move on there, "either put on these glasses or start eating that trash can!"
