Finally got round to Late Night With The Devil last night, really enjoyed it. The moral lesson is telegraphed early but it still unfolds with style and the finale is most splendidily crackers which I've not seen in a horror flick for a while, not since The Void I reckon.

Indeed. This was more of a red wine night after a week long training course and of course I went for it and had about 3 one more last glasses…. Not far of half a century on this spinning rock and I’ll never learn how not to repeat my Friday night mistake.

'Predator' 9pm Film4

It's all there is, and there aint no more. Eviscerated green berets are the easier choice compared to MotD.

[Parkinson is on at 10:30pm with Michael Palin, Kate Adie, and Ricky Gervais - so may need to catch the end on +1]

[You proper animals that like to stay up late, 'The Godfather ptII' is on after Predator, but +1 means 4:15am and the drinks probably ran out by then][heathens!]

It’s disturbing and unsettling, rather than being gory, without loads of false jump scares, which is why it’s so effective.

It must be incredibly difficult to come up with a fresh take on the home invasion film too.

One tiny criticism, would be, that at 1hr 30, it was too short and didn’t give the first part of the film time to fully develop.

You don't actually drink it, mate.

You take a huge sip, swish it around in your mouth, and try to pick up certain tones of flavour to see if you can guess what fruits were used, which region the vineyard is based in and what year the wine was bottled. Then you spit it out and start all over.

Way more fun than getting sloshed!
