Is it just me, or has 99.99% of this stuff been dealt with on the board thread.

On topic. We want at least a 90+% takeover/investment followed a loan to pay off Prudential, then a rights issue for free money to repay said loan, new/redeveloped stadium, turnaround of commercial revenue stream, lots of shiny new players where required amd at the very least a price freeze or reduction for 10 years all done whilst staying within FFP.

New manager too? Maybe! :O

Yes mate - the book is a biography written by Stewart Lansley "How Philip Green built his High Street Empire" - not an autobiography written by Green.
Its his biography it dosnt matter if he wrote it or got some slave to write it for him...they are his words..being a bit pedantry ..point is they are his words...you made out my post was wrong, when it was correct.

If the govt seriously looked at UK tax avoidance usage of BVI companies, I agree the EFC purchase is small beer. What we don't know is how disturbed by that, if at all, Phil Green would be in the overall scheme of things.

Aren't most of 'his' assets in his wife's name as a 'resident' of Monaco (iirc). Thereby side stepping UK business applications?

Edit, apols didn't se previous reply. Point stands though.

Dealt with or not it seems it is news to some and I would reckon it has an increased significance and relevance to this particular BK production. Every panto neds a baddie. And as per usual with Everton this saga is turning into a panto...

It is certainly reminding me why I avoided the board thread like the plague!

Is there any recent gossip on the takeover?

They can if they use the Tax Information Exchange Agreement of 2008. Bit of a circuitous route, but can be done

Missing the point mate. If he used BVI and was deemed to be UK resident, could be in serious trouble for what is spare change to him. Not worth the hassle.

UK Govt is October? 2008 agreement and other agreements exist with other jurisdictions.

Would be shocked if they could directly. Thinking Data Protection Act here but may be wrong.

Hibbo you big tease

Whats that supposed to mean?
Exactly what it says.

I don't believe you or the organisation put yourselves across very well. Rather than admit you didn't know the (rather important) distinction between a biography and autobiography you get the hump and - after demanding an apology for someone correctly pointing out your error - try to blame others for the way they took it.

On top of initially claiming that the takeover was off and kenwright wasn't Ill, only to later admit that you'd randomly asked 2 questions to someone you don't know who had not answered one and given the only real polite answer possible to the other, it just comes across a bit crass to me personally.

Hate to disappoint you LL, but not that I' m aware of, but I' m not ITK.
Oh, wait - just heard that if it goes ahead all new potential owners are so vehemently anti pineapple on pizza that proponents of that abomination will be hunted down and dire consequences will ensue.
Don't shoot the messenger!

Honestly mate it is not a question of pedantry. If you are going after one of the richest, most powerful men in the country you, or anyone else, has to be absolutely accurate in all your claims. Otherwise your case is destroyed on relatively insubstantial points.

Here we go..its the gramma police all over again...the point was in the content...shame really...
If you want a serious debate, have one..instead of point scoring over how something was said...grow a pair...;-)
