Whatever has happened that has meant supreme confidence 10 days ago to eerie silence from everyone, seems to be reflected in a probable delay in season ticket renewal details. Last year they were out early February

In defence of everyone asking what's going on, the club are demonstrating absolutely crass PR skills throughout the whole of this process.
Sadly folks, there is nothing new in the woeful PR activity and skills (not) demonstrated from within the club. They seem to lack the fundamental ability to write stories/press releases that keep the fan base engaged.
Without wishing to appear hyper-critical, for those who watch "the Everton Show" on BayTV on a Friday night, it is an hour long with about as much get up and go as a wet weekend in Hartlepool.
It's largely the same week in, week out with monotone Darren Griffiths interspersed by Snods or Diamond massaging each others egos.
There no cutting edge insight into the club, not even a mention of the alleged interest in a takeover - pathetic really.

Not in the long run of course its not, but in short term maximisation of positive timing (Ive made that term up) its always better to release the season ticket details at a time of hope for the future

I can see the logic behind your reasoning with that one but can't help but think if that was the case then the details would have to be out on New Years Day - that's generally the only day that most people would allow themselves to get suckered into believing it's all going to change and that this year is the year that their lives will change.

Unless of course you follow the tripe across the Park where every day they delude themselves that this year is going to be the year.

it possible the new owners want to have a say in next years prices, it will be their club after all.
Its possible, a very plausible theory

Very much doubt it, I think the price has been set a good while ago, and you can't wait for a organization who might take us over because said organization might want a say in the price of season tkts, as people have said the takeover could take till the end of season
