Why would billionaires buy Bristol Rovers ?
If they are that wealthy why not buy Newcastle, Villa, Everton or any of a host of other clubs.

They've probably not got as much cash to throw around as the term billionaire suggests. It's an area which doesn't really have any local big clubs I guess, so they may feel with minimal investment if you can get them up through the divisions, you could make a tidy profit.

I was thinking that but im sure if it was total bs then the board would of come forward and said there was no truth in it. And i remember the guy from kansas saying he wasnt buying us but he knew there was very serious interest from 2 parties

Cos to buy say Everton, its 200m to buy most of the club, then another 40m or so to pay off the debts, then 200m for a stadium, then another 100m or so a season on the playing staff.

Buying Bristol Rovers cost like 20p, read hes building a new stadium for around 40m and probably 2-3m a season on the playing staff.

Hes talking about building them up slowly and taking them to the Prem, so its kind of like a game of FM for him that wont make him skint, unlike Everton.
