tbf mate, i think if enough wedge was offered he'd jib them no matter, home-town lad or not, he's earning 15k pw at Celtic, sure that 75k would tempt him like

Plus mate what top 6 clubs gonna come in for him exactly, City - no chance, rs - nope just bought one like city, arsenal - nope, Chelsea - nope, spurs - dont need, United - need one but Mourinho aint buying a 19 yo left back

I think the point I was trying to emphasise was that by all accounts he is very happy at Celtic, so why risk a move to a club that is essentially back in the two season transitional period with all of the uncertainties and instability that might entail.
Nowhere in my post did I say he would be an idiot , you introduced that note.

Because he'd be playing in a much higher profile league and earning about 5-6 times his current salary mate.
 


To have no eligible back up for Baines not even in the u23s is inexcusable. Garbutt has only recently been involved at u23 level Connolly sent on loan and a young kid Gibson.
 
As soon as he stepped up for that free kick and all our defenders had moved up, I prayed that he would welly it. But no. It reaches the edge of their box and the counter-attack is on. His corner kicks are not fizzed in rather looped in.

Poor from Baines.
