Young players will only be able to prove their worth in the Prem with a decent run of games,as I said the Sky Six have the quality in depth to be able to give their young players that chance without the stress that the likes of Dobbin would come under if he replaced an injured Maupay and he missed a couple of chances in games we ended up losing by the odd goal. Our fan base would ruin him.
Our fan base isn’t the best when it comes to young players but that isn’t an excuse for the manager not to use everything at his disposal to look for a solution. The young players will have to deal with that stress someday; that is the cost of being a public figure and a professional athlete. You have to deal with irrational people and the abuse. Dobbin is 20- not 17. To be fair Dyche gave Simms a chance and he earned us a vital point. It ended up not working out in the end but the alternative was no better (and Simms sold for a decent fee).

The managers shouldn’t sit on their arse. It’s a cheap cop out excuse that bad managers use so they can blame the players and beg for more signings.

Oddly he's played a few of the kids in preseason. How old was Mc Niel when he gave him his debut? 18?19?

Another one from Everton's famous academy. Come to think of it, have we actually had a decent youngster come through from Finch Farm and make it as a Premier League player?

Best example is that Gordon was just sold for 45m

That pays finch farms way for many years
Oh yes Gordon, but seems he has been the only one for a long, long time. I want to see Everton produce and keep talent for many years, or at least keep them until they've outgrown us and not be sold because we're brassic.
