Rubbish Dave and you know it. Your mate Benitez thrives on turmoil he has rows wherever he goes. As for the reaction post Chelsea, the kids had just got away with a point at Chelsea and were elated. Nothing to do with Benitez, if he'd had a choice they wouldn't even have played
Come on will yer. Youlre not that riled and desperate after losing the managerial war to deny those young players the credit they deserve for holding the European champions in thir own midden are you?

FFS, that's churlish to say the least.

Sarcasm?

lol lol lol

He tells the manager he isn't making himself available for the game at Chelsea and we're supposed to believe he;s willing to travel down there.

As Hunter said in the Guardian: "Digne informed Benitez he was unavailable for Thursday's trip to Chelsea through illness".

Come on, lads.

Trying to win a petty proxy war against the manager like this - it's a pretty poor effort after you lost the actual war to try and unseat Benitez.

Lol.
Yes, and I refer to Benitez's direct quotes. Hunter watched the same presser we all did, I also listened to the embargo bit, which not many people get access to. Not once did Benitez actually say Digne said he was unavailable. Benitez said Digne said he was ill, so he was unavailable. Hunter is a great writer and can take that how he said it. I can take it how I think Benitez meant it. It wasn't clear.

But, Gray, Rondon and Delph also fell ill. So it's not likely Digne was lying, is it?

Given everything that's going on it was probably best for those players not to travel to London anyway? Like even if Digne came in and said 'oh btw gaffer I'm feeling a bit crap', I doubt the club would have allowed them to stay at the training ground. They'd have been tested and sent home until results came back? That's the protocols.

I accept your surrender.

Aye he put that on last night with his son. Clearly doesn't have COVID but there was never a suggestion he did. Just that he was ill - as were/are the other three absentees that fell ill on Thursday.

the squad delayed their travel down to London until Thursday morning due to the covid uncertainty.

£30 million is a pipe dream. We'd be lucky to get more for him than what we're paying for the Ukrainian kid.
The teams pating that amount don't need a LB.
Loan deal is the most likely outcome or cut price 10 to 15 given that everyone knows how desperate the manager is ti be rid.

Premier league only

2018/19 33starts (2sub)4 goals / 4 assists
2019/20 35starts 7 assists
2020/21 30starts 7 assists
2021/22 13starts 0 assists

Those assist numbers are quality until this season where he has clearly been asked to stay back.

If we had another Digne on the right instead of Coleman for the past 3 seasons then we'd be flying.

The "Digne has been poor for 18months / 2 years" comments are utter nonsense.

All the stats say otherwise...its only this season under Benitez.
If your going to do stats and base an argument on it then don't just do attacking stats. Also show us how many crosses have been let in from his side or missed headers he's had etc that have led to goals. Or poor passes that he's made. That's the sort of stuff I'm seeing that leads to me questioning his ability.

He's always been the kind of player to split opinions, personally I'm not a fan but many people are which is fair enough.

Can you stop saying you support the team when you're on record six days ago saying you hoped the team lose against Chelsea?

Then I'll accept your surrender in that regard.
My position is clear on that: if we cant get top 4 realistically, support Everton apart from the games where we could end up handing Liverpool the title.

That's a very sensible position to hold...unless you're not arsed seeing Liverpool and their fans shoving your face in a title win come May.
