Winning and sustained success by breaking into the european spots and challenging top 4 will help win over most of the level headed supporters. One or more trophies won't hurt as well. It could either go very well or very badly for him. I certainly hope it goes very well because that means Everton does well.
His house has been targetted, his daughter has.

These divvies aren't stopping.

If he’s “got to go” I really hope he goes to a club abroad, and not a PL club - having said that Newcastle won’t be a PL club in a few months time anyway, he’d be bonkers to go a club that’s an even bigger basket case than Everton!
Id like him to go to Newcastle tbh, theyre the new 'us'... plenty of money, think they can buy success overnight, dont have either location or quality to sign top players so have to overspend on average ones.
Plus i wouldnt be worried about coming up against him attacking or defensively.
They signed young Jamal Lewis last year, think he's injured atm, might be worth bringing in more experience to develop him as looked very raw when playing for Norwich last season and barcodes this year.

Benitez's job is to destro the old structure and put the cornerstones of the new one in place.

Imo he could be here a couple of seasons and then hand on the task to others.
No point destroying a structure until there is a clear plan as to what comes next Dave. The pulling down is the easy bit. The building back up is the problem. Without that plan in place, and Benitez is not capable of it, the destruction just becomes vandalism.

If you think Benitez will have us challenging for top 4 or trophies then you really haven’t been paying attention to anything at all for at least 5 years.

No, the pulling down in this club is the hardest part. Loads of vested interests and that takes some doing dealing with that lot in your first season. If he just bullets the hangers on and the clique he'll have been a success.

If honest I think we are in for 2 seasons of change and difficult times
I don’t believe Benitez will challenge a top 4 place, I don’t even think he will challenge for a Europa place
I simply see 2 seasons of change in playing staff and back room staff, and maybe after that we can then look at getting a young progressive manager in
I believe Benitez will move into a role of overseeing team and transfer affairs after he has got us into a stable state

Not sure my view will suit people,

No, I fear he will take us further down to the "R" zone.

Oh god, he’s going to become our DoF isn’t he
