He was at war with the owner there; he finds Everton's simpatico and there's trust there.
Ridiculous statement.

He was a paid employee who agreed a contract and was tasked to deliver it. Just walk away ffs if you feel you are at war with an employer.

He failed at Newcastle. Failed. He engineered a ‘war’ against Ashley to deflect blame for his inadequate performance.

He took them up from the Championship having almost saved them going down from an almost impossible position, and he left a hero of the fans there for operating with a negative net spend of £27M.

He put them in a position where a takeover could happen.

That is the unalloyed truth of the matter.

He also took them down to start with and look how he left it to Bruce to try and do something.

Is there where we are now Dave?

A manager who took a team down, hugely overspent his league to get them back up and still didn’t achieve a set of results to better Steve Bruce?

Newcastle are going down fast. There is no legacy there.

I’m not seeing it.

No, the pulling down in this club is the hardest part. Loads of vested interests and that takes some doing dealing with that lot in your first season. If he just bullets the hangers on and the clique he'll have been a success.
Thats rubbish Dave, I could go in there and sack all hands, but, I wouldn’t be capable of replacing the infrastructure I had destroyed with something better. Any fool can tear something down, the tricky bit is building it back up. I’m not sure too many people would have confidence in Benitez being able to do so.

Be careful what you wish for Dave, if Benitez is allowed to go unchecked, he will seriously damage this club.

it’s not like he’s not done it at every other club is it?! wait till we’re in the sheet,

we told you so!

*Looks at club before he arrived*:

  • Botton half of the table
  • Players on £200k taking the piss
  • Half a billion thrown into a furnace buying two-bob players for £30M each
  • Director of Football who couldn't find his own arse with two hands

There was nothing to damage.

Looks at club now

-Still in bottom half
-Sold one of our better players already and another looking likely due to Rafael alienated thing them
-probably the most toxic atmosphere at the club in a long long time

The fact is that the win against arsenal and the draw at Stamford bridge and this covid crisis has earned him a stay of execution. Don’t get me wrong 1 win in 11 is abysmal even for an injury riddled squad. Mosh has backed him despite all the odds and is prepared to let Rafael spend in January so it will be interesting to see what players he brings in and whether they have an impact on results. Obviously if we lose at home to Newcastle it’s going to be back to Rafael out but surely we won’t lose to them.

We did last year mate twice

And we had a world class manager as well. But I suppose some on here will blame the current manager

Be careful what you wish for ? This is true, some want our manager sacked right now and need to take that advice on board considering who we are likely to get to replace him, as for damaging the club, Moshiri has just spent 6 years doing that, he is the problem
