I don't get this, who said that he refused to play against Chelsea? Wasn't it Benitez? If so, wouldn't it suit his literal agenda by saying that instead of "I'm freezing him out because I'm absolutely clueless"? Lad literally just committed his future to Everton in February, only thing that's different is the manager.
He was available to play against Brighton, sat on the bench while Coleman played LWB.

Ming's - better than all our CB.
Bailey - Iwobi...
Ings and Watkins is a good headache to have
3 points above...Which is why they've changed managers...
Bailey has been terrible. I can see him moving on this summer.

Ings I rate but he hasn’t settled at Villa, again will be gone in the summer.

Coutinho and Digne signings would have this forum in tears at their ages.

He demanded moves from Barcelona, PSG and now Everton.

He and his agent are calculated.
Surely @davek that’s because he wasn’t getting game time. I for one welcome a player who wants to move to secure regular first team football. It’s a pity we don’t have a few more within our own squad with the same mentality.

Inappropriate Behaviour

He should STFU and fight for his place, the spineless little bellend.

You, nor I know.

We have no clue what Lucas Digne is like as a person.

What we do know is what is made public.

Digne was in full training. He was in the 11 to play Vs Chelsea. He decided to withdraw himself.

You can guess or make whatever excuses or reasoning behind his choice - you can accuse the manager of lying but for me, the moment he jibbed playing for us is the moment I thought Benitez might have a point.

For a long time I've said on here, and said to his agent that he should read the room and be less obsessive on promoting his own stats. I wasn't at all surprised Benitez made a similar comment.
I’m not accusing anyone of lying. Assuming what Benitez says is true and Digne refused to play for him, what happened for it to get to that state?

How bad is the management for it to get to that stage. That’s what i concerned about. I could understand if we were talking about Shandy Van Der Meyde or Royston Drenthe but we’re not.

None of us know what Digne or Benitez are like as people, all we can go on is previous behaviour and what people who do know them have said publicly. As i said, there is plenty in the public domain saying this manager has poor people skills and history of fall outs/conflict with his abrasive style, whereas the player has no such history, all I’ve ever read from people who know him, managers, players and journalists is that he’s a top pro.

Against that backdrop, when it comes to making excuses, it’s bizarre people are trying to make them for the manager.

Inconsistent but skillfull left winger. Bagged 10 goals last season. Never held a place down though and has had his attitude questioned.

Welcome to Everton.
Eactly.
Besides i rather want a different type of winger, probably a left footer. Gray, Gordon and Richarlison all seem better on the left cutting in so is El Gazhi.
Besides reading between the lines it seems Villa have thrown him in the deal but we want cash only

You can say that about any signing who doesn't go to a big club.

What we have done is strengthened a rival.

All Villa's criticisms are against their old manager. They have a new one who is far more progressive than our dinosaur.

But it's fine. A lot of folks will see this as a masterstroke.

I wouldn’t class it as a master stroke but I don’t think we’ve come out it badly. Moved a 29 year old LB on and replaced him with a younger LB and purchased a RB with the money.

Digne has been poor for a long time now. I don’t get the uproar. I personally don’t think we have strengthened Villa either.

Regardless of the manager Digne would be in the same position as Coleman in Year or so and we would be complaining that we didn’t replace him sooner.

Cant argue your case so someone's "a WUM" or "a Kopite".

How about we just setttle on you being a bad loser that you backed a failed campaign to oust a manager?
If not backing one of our worst ever managers makes me a loser, I'll take that.
However I'll argue my case.
On one of our worst ever runs.
Alienating players.
Alienating fans.
Abysmal tactics.
Abysmal performances.
By the way I didn't call you a kopite, so you can dry your eyes over that one.
You are though, most definitely a WUM.
Benitez out.

Last of all,

15th.

End of.

Bailey is settling. He's got more assists than Sancho so far this season...

Only football manager virgins would be crying at "ages". They've brought in players to win games.
