Data can't design blend or form.I it really that outmoded for me to say that the stats are not representative of what is actually happening in a great deal of case as no variance is taken in to account?
Maybe the variance is taken into account in these high level football clubs. Massive databases with loads of detail right down to the last minutiae. That would make a lot more sense.
But to just take Player A's assist stats and say he is doing well or Player B is great as he has an XG of 0.6 per game is not really something that is overly reliable.
