It’s diabolical management.

You would think a manager who has managed 1 win since September might be slightly more humble and open to listening to his players.
A boss that isn't open to questioning or criticism from staff is a poor boss. The thing is, did Digne say anything to him personally or just go public? If it's the latter I'd side with RB, if the former then RB is shooting himself in the foot by saying 'the team is most important' but not showing that himself.

What's Benitez's excuse for one win in 11 games?

Lacazette is an easier striker for Keane to deal with than King, because Lacazette is a different kind of player

We all know you hate Benitez mate - but he's the manager and he will be for a long time judging by the way Moshiri has given him power to boot half the backroom staff out.

You dont have to like it but you have to accept it. There are a lot on the forum who dont like the guy but they have to accept that this is how the rodeo runs now - you get your head down or the stubborn manager will see you gone and thats it.

For all we know he may put him back in the squad midweek and wanted to keep him out a week or so to send a message.

Let's see how it works out .

I think something has to change at this club mate and its a no lose situation for us - we're currently midtable now - if it goes wrong oh look midtable still.

But surely it's about progression and not going backwards/stagnant.

Yes, things need to change. It's just a bit scary to solely put it in the hands of Benitez.

Make no doubts about it... we're giving him the most amount of freedom he's ever had at a football club. If he fails... it'll be his biggest one of his whole career

It's not a happy camp is it. All things are coming together for a perfect shitstorm and we need points or we are in a wee bit of trouble because there certainly doesn't appear to be a great deal of team spirit, these lot wouldn't be up for a fight.

I don't doubt Benitez is stubborn however he's the boss so thats how it goes.

If Digne is daft enough to know that and then either 1. Get into a barmy with him or 2. Leak stories to the press about him/the club then you have to acknowledge Digne has been very stupid.

Under Benitez its "get yer head down and work" which he should have just done.
All this stubborn talk is nonsense, what they mean is he is professional and we havent had a professsional manager who demand NSNO for years, so its a culture shock to some who cant be bothered to actually turn up.
Look at how hard Townsend and Gray work, they stand out because the rest of the squad have experienced the minset previous managers had, the "its not that important who cares anyway" mindset for example Carlo had. Some of them have professiional pride, Pickford for example, however Lucas has been so poor for a while its hard for him to turn it around.
Rafael has this one spot on, he wants wants best for Everton, which right now isnt playing Lucas

The team spirit is great, look how the players alll came together on Monday, the team spirit is the best it has been for while, there all pulling in the same direction....apart from ONE person, the fly in the ointment

Are John Joe Kenny and jarrad Branthwaite better them him ?

what sort of dumb f'ing question is that, I NEVER want Everton to lose, EVER!
So why are you moaning and making stuff up about uphappy camps? as for a "perfect shitstorm" whats that? a heavy loss? as for "these lot wouldn't be up for a fight." ok i understand you didnt see the game on Monday but the team spirit was the strongest it has been for years.
One player is sulking, he wont be missed
