2021/22 Lucas Digne

Digne is lucky as he can leave this clown shoe of a club... unfortunately we are stuck with another 27 years of being the people's club etc.

Hmmm, Arteta drops his captain for indiscipline. Big crisis? No. It is normal practice when employees go against their bosses. Arteta showed admirable managerial qualities telling the prying media scumbags to go away and invent their own stories. Of course here at Everton, or I should say here on this Everton fans forum we have a few with an agenda which steers them toward inventing a crisis, any crisis to get at the manager. Their new hero and victim, Digne serves their agenda. How dare the manager exclude him.

I don’t know if Benitez is the right man for the job of turning Everton around, my thoughts are that he is not but he hasn’t had enough time in post to form any sort of definitive opinion.
I do know a lot had to change at the club and he has started doing that. Brands was part of the problem, he was either buying bad players or he hadn’t the authority to stop them being bought, either way he wasn’t doing his job.
Others have to go and I expect more to follow. The club has being on the slide for years and the people overseeing that slide need to go.
While I don’t go with the nonsense that Digne is now a bad player I believe that neither he, or any other player, have the moral authority to question the Manager, they have been letting managers down for years.
We need to go through a painful transition to get the club back on track.

That's exactly it. Digne is the new hero of the Rafael out clan. They're using him as a way to have a go at Rafael.

He's not a hero, I don't like what is happening across the club due to Benítez, I was willing to give him time and was praising after a good start, since then it's been utter cack lad and he's cementing himself as firmly under Moshiri's butt as he can, until he has nobody left to fall out with, then it's game on with Moshiri too, we've seen it all before.

"moral authority"? We hadn't won in, what, 10 matches? If my boss was making decisions that I could clearly see where going poorly I would tell him from my POV what I think is going wrong.

Let's put it this way, would you rather the player shut up and lost matches and just collected a paycheck or would you rather a player actually care what the results are and make suggestions for the team to get better?

Two

He alienated and sold Rodriquez because he already made his mind up about him and now doing it to digne.

Only a matter of time before he does it to one of the players the fans love ie Richy or DCL
Might be an idea to get shut of managers full stop and let the players pick the team and play how they want to. Might work, other clubs should do it.
