Hmmm, Arteta drops his captain for indiscipline. Big crisis? No. It is normal practice when employees go against their bosses. Arteta showed admirable managerial qualities telling the prying media scumbags to go away and invent their own stories. Of course here at Everton, or I should say here on this Everton fans forum we have a few with an agenda which steers them toward inventing a crisis, any crisis to get at the manager. Their new hero and victim, Digne serves their agenda. How dare the manager exclude him.

It is a crisis for arsenal though as Auba and Lacazette have fallen off a clif form wise under Arteta as he's been hammering them, who have no respect for him by the looks of it. Auba is one of the club's biggest earners who they won't shift after he signed a 3 year deal not long back. They need a striker now.

How Arteta has handled it in the press is more transparent than our fearless leader, who grins and says "our centre back can do a job there".

He literally gave Brands a 3 year extension a couple of months ago and then binned him off.

Moshiri will change tact at the drop of a hat, that much is obvious. I would not put any credence into him or anybody being here for a long time.

He binned Brands because of Benitez not because of a change of tact.

If you cant see Moshiri is balls deep in Benitez I dont know what to tell you.

Oh and Rafael is here for the love of the club isn't he
Family live here. He just might want to be successful here you know or maybe he wants to leave a positive legacy. Maybe he is the kopite devil who wants to destroy us on purpose then go back to the Red Side saying job done lads.......even though you sacked me I still support you because all the other teams I managed I tried to make poorer than you so you can dominate Europe......my heart belongs to you as no other footy team exists outside of you. Then back to reality and away from conspiracy theorists maybe he just tries to do his best

Who's the other?

If its James they fell out years ago and the club needed his wages off the books.
regardless of when they fell out he still didnt get along with him and didnt give him a chance despite him being our best player.

we needed his wages off the books hahahaa, mate weve got absolute crabs like rondon gbamin begovic kenny and noncy on our books.

Those 4x combined are still on less than James £200k-250k a week wedge.

he wasnt, he was about 100-150k

wages which could have been saved by not signing rondon begovic and releasing other useless players

Benard signed on a free deal and was on 120k a week

Do you really believe James Rodriguez was signing for us on a free and taking a big paycut from Madrid?

No chance - even Bluetoff who's James biggest fan of all time will tell you the club needed his wages off the books.

That's exactly what I'm saying ye, rodriquez was on nowhere near 250k a week

We needed his wages of the books because fat man would rather have plodders like Townsend than players like Rodriguez

We'd need to reinvest a chunk of the money in a left-back in the middle of the season...

Maybe our manager should stop being such a massive prat?
We need to get used to players leaving. It happens.

I would prefer him to stay and play. He is talented, but has not performed at his peak level for @ little while. Our new system clearly restricts him. I’m afraid that this is one of those crunch times where it is the manager or the player. I think Morshiri will back the manager.

that's fine, you don't sell a key player in the middle of the season when we already have a lot of work to do on other areas
