Lukaku - A Fond Farewell

And the same precious snowflakes were up in arms when he 'shushed' the crowd that had been abusing him all game. Our fans are the worst thing about our club.

Well if by fans, you are referring to the self loathing and self hating ones like yourself then yes i agree.:) Rom showed nothing but disrespect for Everton while he was with us, and he disrespected us again yesterday.Rom is a good player. It's just a shame that he is one massive asshole.

Lukaku has to measured by a different yardstick to the overwhelming majority of other players.
Firstly, he is after costing almost 100m and has been signed to win trophies for Man Utd.

Golden boot or any other individual accolades count for very little at the club he is currently at.

His job is to win the Premiership for Utd and if the do not do so and he scores thirty league goals then the season has not been a success.

Come next May, I think Utd will not be champions, I think there will be patches where Lukaku does well and at times not so well.
He scored yesterday in a game that was already won and has done that quite a bit at Everton as well.

Time will tell.
Would you say van nistlerooy was a failure, Utd didn't win much with him in comparison to before and after

I do hate myself but it has nothing to do with rom

Like when he kissed the Everton badge, do you mean?

His performances here were exceptional for a modern everton striker. We shouldn't have sold or at least adequately replaced. It's extremely disappointing watching him bang then in at United but that's where we are. Anyone booing him is a clown. Same people who clap Bill. Get your priorities in order.

* up until April in each of his 4 seasons. Then he clocked off and the stats prove that.

And scored all the goals.

But where exactly did the badge kissing and goals get us?? He disrupted at every opportunity, when we actually had chances to kick on v Crystal Palace in 2014 or the FA semi he was useless. Not one derby win in his time here.

Obviously I would rather we had a striker that scored 20+ goals in the team than not but at the end of the day the net result was no different from when we had Andy Johnson or even Marcus Bent. He will fade easily from my mind in a few years.

Wouldn't be surprised if he was driven out by vile fans too.

Yeah but Ijjy remember that stat? If we hadn't had Lukaku's goals we'd have finished in the exact same position LOL lol

We definitely do not miss him :hayee::hayee::hayee::hayee::hayee:

If I remember right Barmby was after a move to Liverpool and was leading the club along about a new contract, nothing to do with the fans.

Lukaku is a great player obviously and we are definitely missing his goals, but he is definitely a tool and can't be arsed about about anyone but himself.

Jesus H Christ. I'm glad he abused you lot at Goodison on the weekend. He's better than us.

It's an interesting one, if you're not being facetious.

I think he came along a little bit too late. He was brilliant in the title-winning season he had, but then Mourinho and Benitez turned up, and suddenly it was all about athletic strikers leading the line on their own in England.

My expectation is that Lukaku will have a similar experience. He'll score plenty of goals, but I think United will come up short in the crunch games against other top sides with him as their main striker; much like what we see at tournaments with Belgium.
