His mentality is very strong and he is a student of the game, which is huge. I can imagine him and Bobby getting on like a house on fire in that respect.

I have just figured it all out, this has to be why the Prices for Ossies match against Porto are quite pricey, I'd imagine some turn out if Lukaku and Besic were in line to play some part or even start, add to that anyone else who comes in.
 

i think the thing with SKY now is that you'd feel they're going to lose quite a bit of money on lukaku coming here, so they're trying their damndest to make it seem wolfsberg and genuinly interested and are really close to try and get some money back/stop incoming bets on us. i'm not sure if anyone worth their salt has indicated they're very interested yet.

Even now Rodgers says he's the best holding midfielder in Europe, any team who concedes over 50 goals in a season have got a holding midfielder who isn't doing his job properly. Didn't see him muck in once for his full backs for England in the summer when they were gettin battered.

What I meant was that Gerrard from the age of 17-22 improved as a player. Mainly due to becoming more disciplined. Mainly due to being played wide right or as a second striker he has no place in CDM for me in the same way that lampard does't - because he is not Makele doesnt mean he didn't improve as a youngster.

I'm of the opinion that we Evertonians just need to hold our nerve and stay calm.

This summer we thanks to Martinez are in a really good financial position with regard to transfers.

Wolfsburg are not really in our league when it comes to what we can offer.

It's time some Evertonians started having pride in the club rather than worrying can we compete. Or worrying if money is there. Martinez said all along it was.

In regard to Lukaku and a supposed club record fee. This is something I'm comfortable with. More than I was with Yakubu or Johnson.

I'd sanction Martinez pursuit of Lukaku at the prices quoted. Lukaku knows our club. His mate Kev Mirallas is already here.

Everton is upwardly mobile not overspending in wages or doing ridiculous deals (like Aston Villa who are in a state of collapse)

Everton are not downwardly mobile. Look at the youth players coming into an already established team. A new stadium on Walton Hall Park on the horizon.

Anyone would be mad not to consider Everton as where they'd want to play.

I know he improved as a player but you said he improved tactically. I don't think he did, I still don't think he is a tactical footballer now. Been a great player but he's always been a Hollywood player

He already showed last season that he listens to the coach well. Remember when he was placed as a winger and scored? Ran directly to RM as if to show that he had it right. He knows that RM has the best for the team in mind and therefore play to each players individual strength. I think Lukaku can only improve if he sign for us.
 

Complete faith in Martinez.

Absolutely believe he's going to take us places we can only dream of.

He's no fraud like Brendan Rodgers.

Its not short termism with him either.

He said in January wasn't happy to spend his summer budget then on players he didn't want. Thats the sort of balls we want in the head man.

He's not all about him. Big picture Martinez has exceeded all my expectations. How he's pursued relentlessly Lukaku and Barry on a permanent. Plus Mccarthy.

Delighted. Fully support him on Lukaku.

The club's doing alright.
 
Oh and this is the closest we have been to the 1980's in terms of competing.

Convinced we are going to all kinds of naughty stuff to them all in the league this year. Convinced. @chicoazul
