Hernandez would suit this system, PLUS, he's not a Roberto Martinez striker. You see the 3 strikers we have here, Kone, Lukaku and Traore, all big powerful strikers who can play with their back to goal as well as score, Hernandez doesn't, and cant play with his back to goal. If he was available, Roberto wouldn't even touch him.

Hernandez is grossly over-rated, at least by those who rate him, just because he's won a few PL titles as a 4th choice striker.
He's too comfortable to move away from his inflated wages at OT and would not offer us anything.

Personally I'd break the bank to land Lukaku. If that means blowing 90% of our transfer budget on him and bringing in one further cheap squad player, then so be it. He improves us immeasurably.

...interesting trying to get an insight into Bill's Blue Blood speech last night. He mentioned each individual and said to Lukaku, 'wherever you go I hope you will always have Everton in your heart'. Sounded like a goodbye, but I'd love him to stay. Interesting that he said 'I hope your here next season' to Deleufeu.

Sounds a bit like he's off elsewhere then. Shame! He pretty much made it clear he'd stay if we got CL. I'd love for him to stick with us because he can see what Roberto's vision is and he wants to be part of it. A fee of £15-20 mill plus add-ons seems reasonable, not sure who else is actually in for him at this stage.

We defo have at least 7 pts in the 1st 3 matches. If we had Lukaku last year I think we would have gotten 4th and/or a FA cup win.

Even with all the changes Bob brought to everton, I didn't see any difference between this years and last year's squad without Lukaku. Lukaku made everyone better by just his presence on the field.

Getting a striker who scares the bejezzus out of the other side is mandatory. If we get the Kone at Wigan Kone it will help but in order to finish 4th and make cup runs we need someone better. Without a striker you are Man Utd this year. With one or two you are last years Man Utd or this year's Liverpool.

Chelsea paid 18m for him. Since then in two premiership seasons he has scored thirty league goals. He will be priced at 25m mininmum.
