Lukaku has played 2401 mins in the league. He's scored 8 goals making it a goal every 300.125 mins.

Origi has played 1728 mins in the league. He's scored 6 goals making it a goal every 288 mins.

So Original actually has a better goals per mins played b ratio than Lukaku in the league!

Anyway, we all agree that 8 goals is pee poor for 29 games, even Jela has scored more at Ull, but on the other hand you cant dismiss the goals hes scored in Europe, the whole team has struggled in the League this season, you cant blame any 1 person, its been a collective failure from the Manager down, lets hope people learn from it and we see more Besic.

I like Lukaku but I really did expect more PL goals, if I'm honest.

The number of players that have scored double figures for Everton in the Premier League are pretty slim.
He's set to do it two seasons in a row. (Three if you include West Brom)
When you look at the number of players who have been able to score 15 goals or more in consecutive PL seasons or indeed multiple seasons the list is tiny.
8 goals in a team that's playing terrible isn't too bad for a young player, particularly when you consider his European exploits.

Lukaku is better than both Origi and Benteke.

The entire side had had a crap season, there's not much more to it.

You can't on one hand dismiss Lukaku's goals in Europe because of "questionable opposition", and then on the other champion Origi's 7 special goals in the bloody French league!

He needs another top class striker in the squad so he has competition and can be rested from time to time. It would also give us the option of 2 up top in some games. 8 in 30 isn't a great return but if a side is lying 13th after 30 games it would suggest the whole team has fell below standard.
