Lukaku's Everton Frustration

What has upset me is we were going in the right direction as a team. The media where picking up on that and we were being talked about as a good team again. We were even being talked about in discussions for the top 4. We were getting recognition. The media was talking about us in the right way.

Now all they want to talk about is this selfish quilt. Now were just being laughed at by the rest of the leauge and the media. Why can't he just keep his mouth shut.

I will miss lukaku as a player because he is a amazing player but i won't miss the negative impact him as a person brings to the club.

Also if he is so desperate to win things how about you don't bottle a penalty against united in the semi's of the fa cup.

The negative impact of being our record scorer in the premier league???

It was a club approved interview at a club event. The PR man was even next to Rom during that interview where he said he hasn't any intentions on signing a deal to Belgium tv.

Its a game.

Not so sure if the contents of the interview was approved otherwise Koeman would not fumed during the Pre Hull conference.

One of the best players in our team (arguably the most important) has come out and said we need a winning attitude, we shouldn't live off the past glories of others and we should be trying our hardest to get the best people in that we can. He hasn't asked to leave and has said it's frustrating to see missed opportunities pass by for the club but that players shouldn't use that as an excuse for under-performing.

Basically, we're in danger of becoming a load of koppites/mancs and we really should stop it now. Well said Rom. We all got semi-ons when hard businessman Mosh came in who wasn't going to be cuddly, sentimental old Bill so why not want the same attitude from the players?

As soon as I saw his goal "celebration" or actually the total lack of it (!!) last Saturday I thought it was pretty obvious that the 0.00000001% issue with his contract was in reality more like a 50% problem! The timing of this interview is poor at best and stinks of a recent tap up at worst!
That was more to do with the fact it was West Brom and he never celebrates when he scores past them, also was the 3rd in an already won game

So after 4 Rounds I'd say Everton are winning however Rom has the next 2 rounds(away on international duty) to say more stuff and we won't get any sort of reply till probably RK presser.

So basically lads bunker down as it might get rough over the next 2 weeks

Better to know now than to be blindsided in August. Always thought there was a wink/nod between the club and Rom that if we got a good offer that we'd not get in his way.

We'll have money, we can find a decent player or 2 or bring Niasse back.

I think that was a huge part of why the signing from chelsea went through

He didn't miss that penalty on purpose did he? Stupid thing to hold a grudge over. Especially when we equalised 10 minutes later anyway, and especially after he dragged us through the QF single handedly. We lost that game at Wembley because we were unfit, and we had Besic and Gibson in our back 4 ffs.

I agree the timings poor but I don't see how his frustration at the club for not pushing on is "selfish" in the slightest. There's certainly nothing in there to suggest his personality has a negative impact on the club. If I could click my fingers and make every last one of our players have Roms attitude to winning then I would.

Yes but he did bottle it and my point is don't be mouthing off about winning trophies when its that miss that cost up a place in the final.

His attitude towards everton is a negative influence to the fan base which then is negative influence to the club. Having our best player every march showing his arse to every team in the world. Is horribly selfish and no one can say any different.

He's a man on a contract entitled to think and voice opinions about his future

the way i look at it he's right, he's the leagues top scorer sake,
and he's proved he's not just a one season wonder etc.
he's not a blue he wants the best career as possible i,e winning trophies
what he should be entitled to, the only concern is the way he comes across
like he has no respect for the club at all that bothers me.

No of this crap show every march of his showing his arse to every team in Europe and the media jumping all over our team. Being made a laughing stock to the whole of the country. The potential of it derailing our season?

Take ypur pick

He didn't 'bottle it' though did he? If anything he was too cocky, taking it ahead of others who may have done a better job.

If people could stop labelling everything that goes wrong as a bottle job, that would be great.

The only way this derails the season is if no one in the club is professional enough to handle ot whatever it comes to. Then our problems are way worse than our star striker saying he wants to win trophies
