Not fussed either way tbh. If we keep him he may start in a few years time until we sign someone better, if he goes he'll play for West ham or something.

He was easily our best left back last season on performances. He started looking really good again after a few games back from his broken leg. Our best performer in the game he did his hammy. Plus he can play in several positions

Hmm. I just don't see him as a player who really takes us forward (as a club, not on the pitch). As a prospect I'd rather have kept Garbutt and lost Oviedo.

But it is what it is. Oviedo is a nice guy though to be fair.

Id rather keep all 3 of them. But at least if we lose 1 we have 2 top players left there

I'd be pretty gutted if he left for a small amount. It really looks like he's a quality crosser of a ball and has held his own against decent opposition this season. He's also young and English and could end up a really valuable asset to his club if he does well. It's a shame that we're not really in a position to guarantee him even the first back-up to left back slot as we have Oviedo who has proved he can do a very good job when called upon.

I don't think, for this reason, we're the right place for him, sadly and think he could get himself a contract at a premier league club who'd be able to offer him a starting position either immediately or before too long.

A very good point that mate.

Young and English usually means inflated fee.

I reckon if we could guarantee a load of first team games he'd stay, but it's pretty obvious he won't get them here.

I wonder if we've even offered a deal and said we'd loan him out for next season.

Shame really but you can't blame him for wanting to play.
