Hope its a good move, rather than a money motivated move.

Be good to see what kind of player he develops in too.

I may be wrong, but its very risky for a young English player to reject a contract from a club size of us, and 'wait' for the summer!!

I like him, good player. Good luck to him, wether he stays or goes.

Why do people think it's in his best interests to sign a new deal with us? He's not going to get a game here is he, Baines will play no matter what. He needs regular games, he's nearly 22

to be fair to Garbutt, he knows he isnt going to oust Baines any time soon.

To be fair to Everton for all the development of Garbutt, you don't plan on a full back as good as Baines to be at your club. ITs just a difficult situation for both parties, garbutt stays and doesnt play or he goes and we need him by the time baines declines.

Lose lose

Even when Baines declines, he'll still play every game. Case in point: Tim Howard

Has something happened to spark the flurry of replies here?

He's gone. He's been gone since the day we put Hibbert LB over him.

He wants first team football. At one stage this season, he was 4th choice LB. He's not getting in ahead of Baines or the beloved Oviedo so he's gone - I would be to if I was him.

He's a mercenary. We're losing him?

*shrugs*

Just get a few quid for him and put it into the boss CB transfer fund.
