If he doesn't sign then we've had an absolute shocker letting a very promising player go on a free. He's prem quality, ive got no doubt. I find the seeming lack of concert re his contract worrying.

At the end of the day, all the club can do is offer him a contract and its up to him.

Its probably a shock to all how he broke through this season

Looks like LVG will refuse to allow Shaw to go away with the U21s this summer which means Garbutt would be first choice. Really happy for Luke if that is the case although probably makes it even more unlikely he'll be with us next year.

Yes, as long as we have offered him a new contract in writing we will be due some compensation fee although no idea how much.

Thanks. Guessing there's some formula based on the value of what he signs for. I'm still hopeful he's going to sign a a new deal with us.

over crossed his limits? hasn't he been injured most of the season anyway and hardly played?!

be better for Garbutt to go there and get the minutes.

really hope we can come to the right decision and conclusion on Garbutt this summer. we need to sign him up and possibly send him out on loan for season to gain some proper experience and then he can come back a more rounded player, ready to fight Baines for the LB spot properly!
