Mad that. Watch him go on to play for England advert leaving us for free. He's every bit as good as Luke Shaw who joined United for thirty million. Joke of a club allowing him to go.

He's not a slave.

If he won't sign a new contract what can the club do?

I wonder how much we'll get for him? If it's decided by a tribunal it'll probably involve bonus payments for appearances and international appearances.

Shocking that its come to this. His behavoiur in the press earlier in the season didnt help but poor mgmt letting this happen. Hel go for free now and has the potential to be a quality full back under the right manager.
Maybe when he leaves it will come out what was said to him behind closed doors.
Sums our season up really. Very disappointing.

Mustafi MRKII Well done Martinez and Everton, couldn't hold a pee up in a brewery especially when we have about 8 players who are deadwood and need replacing and we are skint.

i love how it's being twisted as it's somehow garbutts fault haha lads done nothing wrong but want game time.

Lad is completely in the right, if in the past few weeks he's said he wants to leave for first team football. We're not offering him jack.

And martinez sound bites in the press with regards to him we're stupid management too, so all in all good luck to the lad at his new club.

Martinez and the club have overseen him undergo a two year development from academy player into potentially a first teamer, some on here say potential England player.
Bobby sent him on loan for 6 months to Colchester within weeks of his first season. He has also seen him make around ten apperances this season which isnt bad considering he has two better left backs in front of him.
Everton HAVE offered him a substantial deal considering his experience.

If he doesnt sign its directly down to Luke; Everton have gone ABOVE and beyond to get Luke tied up.

A five year deal is on the table with a promise of a year loan next year.

HOW DARE HE NOT WANT TO SIGN A CONTRACT TO SIT ON THE BENCH UNTIL HE'S 25 OMG IM SO MAD RIGHT NOW BOOOOOOOO JUDAS TURNCOAT

Turn it in you utter test tubes

Well on the contrary, its being twisted to be Bobbys fault.

Fact is Everton have offered him a huge deal considering his experience. He has come on leaps and bounds under Martinez.

No i think he was pretty open minded about staying if he got game time at the right chances.

He's not getting a chance even when baines is properly crocked so why would you stay, he has no reason to if he's not made to feel wanted.
But he did get chances to play. There was the one game that Hibbert played LB (which I fumed like mad about) but the same week Garbutt played in the far more important away game versus Wolfsburg. Perhaps Martinez didn't think he could manage two tough games in a week?

When Baines was injured and Oviedo fit, Bry was chosen ahead of Luke but Oviedo has always played well when chosen and surely deserves his chance after patiently waiting for it?

We just seem to be in the odd situation of having three good players for one position.
