Still can't see what the fuss is about? He's just a good prospect is all. If he thinks he's more than that then good luck to him, move on.

He is yet to prove that he offers more than Oviedo in my opinion and he's still light years behind Baines. Light years.

But Baines has been playing longer so has more experience. Right now Baines has what left in his locker, another 2 years happen compared to how many years in front for Garbutt?

Really should be being brought in for Baines more often...keep both fresh and rotated.

Oviedo should be rotating with coleman or left wing....

I do get you what you're saying, but Baines is only 30 so I think 2 years is a little on the low side.

Anyway, my point is more that right now Baines is better at everything and I mean everything than Garbutt. Yeah that must be frustrating for the young lad because it seemingly impossible as you say for him to get the experience which will lead him to improve. It's not a bad thing for us because we have, for me, the best left back in the league. Why would we not play the best left back in the league for as long as he is the best left back in the league? If that means that a prospect can't get in the team and further, leaves because he needs games then I'd have to say thanks but see you later.

I think at most other clubs in the league his performances would warrant more game time, but I cannot see a single thing that he has to his game that would lead me to believe that he should be starting ahead of Baines. I know it may sound like I'm overrating Baines but I think if anyone would want to drop him then they are vastly underrating him.

MK, said nothing about dropping Baines! just pointed out Garbutt has the age advantage.

Yeah sorry I didn't make that clear, wasn't saying you were mate, was more a general point to anyone who might be thinking that.

You are right though, it is unfortunate for Garbutt as he does look a decent prospect.

He played really good yesterday. His crosses had curl on them he was good all round.

He should be our 2nd choice Baines First
