Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again

And we have totally managed to Everton up this month aint we.

Up next, The Champions, peak Ev would be going to The Eithad and playing like Milan of the 90s, lets hope.

From looking upwards, 3 games later and with Spurs after City, we are sadly in danger of looking behind us, soz abar me, happy thoughts!!! A few of our players arent really playing well, the squad players who have been given game time arent really playing well, I said HAPPY! I suspect, given Silvas words about a back 3 and the fact that we arent playing well, we will employ a back 3 here and try something a little different, we need a spark, we need to win. I think thats enough from me, maybe I should have written this in a happier mood. COYB

Goats 11 to start :
T-Rex
Yezza - Keane - Zooms
Coleman ---- Gana ---- Digne
Gomes - Iceland
Rico ---- DCL
Dont @ me about that 11.

Pickford & Stekelenburg in goal
Coleman Keane Zouna Mina Jags Holgate Digne Baines in defence

Richarlison scoring 3 goals without reply

The others should have reacted better, but pickford has really gut punched us there

It’s a constant annoyance though that we get ourselves into great positions then throw it away against poor teams at home. Whereas under Allardyce last season when we were threatened with relegation we’d put away these teams at home because we had to but once safe we’d slack off again. It’s the exact same. No expectation in mid table and we’ll string three wins together, if there’s a chance to crash the top 4 we’ll lose or draw easy home games until that chance disappears then start playing well against. It’s annutter disease that we just cannot shift from this club.

We’ve chucked away any chance of a good season so most of the games are an irrelevance now sadly. We should be embedded in the top 6 with a chance to go for top 4. Instead we’re scrapping around for 8th again.
Understand the frustration but are you saying we just give up now? I got the impression that most people thought that anything in the top 6 was a bonus and that 7th/8th would be more realistic, given the shambles inflicted on us for some considerable time. And a decent tilt at the FA cup. We are only 16 games into a new manager/dof's tenure; imo top 6 was never going to happen this year..I suspect that you will have gone through worse times with EFC as I have and given no trophies in 23 years, it becomes more difficult to remain optimistic when we appear to shoot ourselves in the foot after a succession of "false dawns" I just keep hoping that some of the great times I have experienced can be repeated..keep the faith!!

On the league? We’ll have to do enough to get into 7th but whilst the chance for top 6 is gone I have zero faith in this club in delivering it in the second half of the season. If the chance is there they’ll spurn it. That is what Everton does. We should go all out for the FA Cup and hope we don’t have to play any prem team away from home at any point.

Pressure is the big stumbling block for Everton...we cannot cope with it. There's no pressure on Everton to win this, so we'll probably give a good account of ourselves...

...still lose though

Go there and play like at Anfield and Stamford Bridge (minus the goalkeeping ) and we have more than enough to get a draw or sneak it.

Those two games we proved what can be done with this team against the only two teams that seem to give City themselves problems.

Get something at the Etihad and it sets us up perfectly for the rest of the season. Expectations restored, the derby result forgotten.

Anyone remember the 70s when the rs were winning trophies nearly every year? Cant ever recall wanting us to lose a game when that was going on...you think the situation is bad now, think again. Title is City's to lose, we should be concentrating on our own form instead of wondering what the mutants across the park do....otherwise we may well just pack it all in now.

I remember the 80's where we would literally be competing for the title with Liverpool. They would win it then we would the next year and vice versa.

Its early December and if fans are more worried about how the neighbours are doing at the expense of our own club its time to swerve it for good.

Whats next? Shall we lose to Chelsea too cos they are also up there and the more teams that get points the better ?

Anyone who wants everton to lose here has lost their grip on reality.

Simple one for me this. If we play with the same effort and passion as we did against the RS then it will be tough but we might get something out of this game. If however we play with the same effort and passion that we did against Newcastle and Watford, we will get absolutely slaughtered and it could end up being an embarrassing scoreline even by half time and even with them having a few injury problems.

Here's hoping we give them a proper game like we did the RS who in the end could only beat us by a huge stroke of luck.
