If anyone had said the first two players Brands would bring in would be Richarlison from Watford and Digne from Barca after receiving fees for Klaasen Rooney and Funes Mori they would have been laughed off here.

‘Watford won’t deal with us’ ‘players from top clubs won’t want to join us’ ‘no one will pay money for our poor players’ etc. They all bow down to Marcel Brands eventually.

All well and good mate but we have 11 days to bring in another 2-3 key players. I cant see it happening imo.

There will be no CF unless somebody really good falls out with his team and we can't pass up making a run at him. Otherwise it isn't a priority. My feeling is we will probably either see movement on Mina or move on soon as his World Cup break is up now

The scenario where a completely new DOF comes in at the same time as a new manager, new scouts, new CEO in a World Cup year with a shortened window and takes our squad and oversees 11 outs and brings in 7 of the highest quality players in exactly the positions we need all whilst balancing the books is a complete fantasy.

Yes we need more players that’s obvious but it’s not a failing of Brands, we’ve needed these key positions replacing for 5 years yet Brands is expected to do in 4 weeks what Martinez Koeman and Walsh couldn’t do in 5 years?

Richarlison and Digne look to be a far better profile of player than our recent shoddy recruitment. Both are younger with pace and experience in top leagues rather than the mixture of overpriced prem veterans and foreign gambles we took last time.
 
We are paying a lot of money for brand and silva imo they need to pull there finger out 10 days to go still need central defender winger playmaker and decent striker . Then need rid of Williams mirralas niasse lookman ( if he’s not happy ) besic ( if not in silvas plans) and Morgan
