He needs to either

A. Come out and back Silva and hold his hands up to the poor TW

Or

B. Sack him now for underperformance

Cant have your cake and eat it Marcel

Brands wouldn't so that, it'd just underline what a shabby job he did in the summer.

He'll keep his head down and hope Silva gets a few quick wins. He's good at keeping his head down.

So who else would you like to have seen us buy, maybe apart from Zouma. Also how much money did we have.

Ok maybe we should tried for a top class striker, but who was available. Haller, or Joelinton for 40mil. There wasn’t a lot of Choice

You sound like some on unemployment benefit getting 48pound a week. Wondering whether to spend it on a 4 pakc of heinekan or a few sandwiches.

We spent dozens of millions in the window and there are lots of rather talented players around the world who would like to play for a top 8 side in the prem.

If he wants to sack Silva and get his manager in, remember he was hired after Silva for some reason, he has every right to do that. But if he wants to do it midseason he really needs to have someone completely ready to go. That's a scumbag thing to do but honestly that's the only way it makes sense. Otherwise we end up with Unsworth or something for 7 months and that does nothing for us. Just wasting time at that point.

As ever Dave, you are ahead of the curve when it comes to reading the runes.

That starting XI today was an indictment of Brands’s time here, which now spans three transfer windows.

Another Saturday another defeat. The message should now be getting through, just because we think we can be a top six club doesn't mean all the other clubs will get out of our way and let us be a top six club. Indeed, just because we think we can't get relegated doesn't mean we won't get relegated. I think we will win a relegation battle this year but if we don't change something we will be in one. If I was a Burnley fan I would be expecting to beat us. If I was a supporter of any of the sides looking to stay up I would fancy a win against us. Brands came here with a reputation of being a "fixer", well Marcel things are broke, time to step forward.

Mate, his modus operandi looks like this: players out of favour with their own clubs signed for a fee between £25M-£30M. The idea being that some may be a hit and then sold on for a profit after 2-3 seasons here. But the majority will be less than good enough.

That seems to be the game plan.

I'm not sure there's an awful lot of talent that goes into such a policy. We've seen no one encouraged to come through from the academy yet. We see no attempt to get decent home grown talent from England.

His lack of knowledge of the English game and how agents operate here means we missed out on a CB this summer when he sat back and waited for Zouma's position to be determined. He's not pro-active at all. Watch him sit on his hands in January with zero business getting done.

We do still have gaps in the squad, an experienced striker and a central defender with pace. We have been unfortunate with Gbamin getting injured. I'd say the jury is out on Brands he has made some good signings and some average ones and some that will take time. He is more of a long term dof going off what he said when he came in, the issue is do we have a long term to wait? We have big issues in the first team now.

How many DoF's do you know that give regular interviews? It's not part of his job to manage the team
Why does he not give interviews RE: his philosphy,? why he buys certain players? an analysis of the players he has signed? his relationship with the manage ect ect?

He is
