Not only does he cause the problems that result in this season's results by selling a top DM and buying trash, he now wants to wriggle out of his duty in sacking Silva now that it has all gone wrong.

Two things should happen:

1/ sack Silva.
2/ offer his own resignation.

Hasn't got the authority to sack a manager he placed in the firing line with his horrendous purchasing of crocks and mediocre players.

He's been found out in this crisis every bit as the manager has.

He's abdicated his responsibilities and left this man hanging by a thread with the ultimate humiliation of then facing the sack after a probable derby loss.

He's either got authority to sack the manager and appoint his replacement or he hasn't. If he has then what in God's name has he been doing? If he hasn't got that authority then why did he take the job? If he was promised the authority but it hasn't materialised then he should resign on a point of principle.

He's had a massive negative impact on this season with his transfer dealings. Now he has one task to do and that's to get shut of the manager. But he's impotent even on that. He's dressed his impotence up in words this week about "keeping to the plan", but it's his weakness to get the job done. He hasn't got the clout to sack a manager Moshiri hired.

He's utterly useless. A "Director" of Football. FFS, what is he "directing" exactly?
