The club has lost around 300m in the last 2 years, another 65m and counting with Corona and people questioning why we haven't bought a new squad in the last 3 years.Exactly.
And the mess from the previous regime will only finally unwind in summer 22. In fact I think Pickford has a contract till 24?The club has lost around 300m in the last 2 years, another 65m and counting with Corona and people questioning why we haven't bought a new squad in the last 3 years.
We are also setting fire to roughly around 1m a week in wages for utter garbo players.
And still, all our best players were brought to the club by Marcel Brands.
Yeah, it's one the big head scratchers for me too. I would hope that Moshiri has nothing to do with signings but there is the link to Arsenal, so maybe he was a fan and Brands thought he'd please his boss. From a personal point of view I don’t think Brands is a clown, nor do I think he is this mythical architect and I still find it difficult to understand the Iwobi signing, 28 million, if that’s what it
But why didnt we buy a Right Back in the summer? Why haven't we offered Donuramma 500k a week already? Why haven't we got 6 world-class midfielders? Why don't we have a world-class back up Striker? And the mess from the previous regime will only finally unwind in summer 22. In fact I think Pickford has a contract till 24?
It can’t just be ignored. It’s a massive drag on everything we want to do.
When did Brands buy Keane and DCL?The club has lost around 300m in the last 2 years, another 65m and counting with Corona and people questioning why we haven't bought a new squad in the last 3 years.

He gave Keane a new contract and he backed DCL to be the player he is now. When did Brands buy Keane and DCL?
So what you are saying is that they have been BrandedHe gave Keane a new contract and he backed DCL to be the player he is now.
They both belong to Brands now, accept it and move on.
They all get the call, I'm sure. Kirkbride, O'Connor, Myers, O'Keeffe, Boyland....
I never knew you spelt reviled like that.It seems to me Brands isnt viewed so favourably by them. I do wonder if its come from Bill, who I can just imagine thinks he could be a great DOF alongside a universally revered chairman.
What was Bill's old quote: "Put me and Moyesie in a room with a player and it's a done deal"...or words to that effect. It seems to me Brands isnt viewed so favourably by them. LOLWhat was Bill's old quote: "Put me and Moyesie in a room with a player and it's a done deal"...or words to that effect.
This is the squad we had when he took over.I just think Brands has made a fair few mistakes which have compounded the issues that the previous regime gave him.
So, as well as clearing up Walsh's mess, he's also had to clear up his own to an extent - £28m on Iwobi, £120k for Bernard etc.
Think we all see the scale of the job that he had on his hands, but don't buy that after 3 years we couldn't be better on along the line in terms of our recruitment.
Said all along, the main pro for keeping him on is continuity. While that's all well and good for stability etc, I also think it kind of paints his actual recruitment in a rather indifferent light overall.
This is the squad we had when he took over.

I think the recruitment has been just fine.
Mistakes have been made, Bernie isnt really a glaring error, hes scored goals, he cost nothing and we did get a team to spend cash money on him, we as fans consider Iwobi a waste of money, but we don't know if that's shared and its not even universal, ask @TheBigIguana whether he considers him a flop.
Delph we took a gamble on and it hasn't worked out.
But we traded Bolaise for Hamez.
