Marcel Brands

This is a key point for me, we have finished poorly in the past 2 years yet we never seem to be active in the Jan market when we need a boost to keep the team going.
Because we take the moral high ground about overinflated prices in January and wait til the summer…

… Where we’ve typically still had our pants pulled down by selling clubs and paid a fortune for absolute tripe.

I am not sure Brands was really brought in to scout and entice young up-and-comers to join EFC and build assets, I think he was brought in with the remit of ensuring we did not continue to overpay (valdermort, Tosun etc) for mediocre talent. If thats really what Moshiri hired him for then he has done ok (except Iwobi who may have been a Moshiri move in the first place).

This feller still works for Everton FC after that catastrophe.

Let that sink in.

….I thought this is exactly what you’ve been asking for, a succession of Managers in control of transfers?

Forget his title, Brands isn’t a DoF in the true sense of the word. As you continually post, players are being brought in by Manager. Brands is an Administrator, I’d have thought you’d be quite happy with that.

Well the sensible ones had positivity the cult meanwhile had barricaded themselves into their own homes convinced Benitez was taking us down.
Do you have apart time gig writing speeches for Trump? The ability to throw shade in the sentence above is so blatantly obvious it surely cant be a true opinion. I dont think anyone would argue that Benitez is a divisive appointment - this conversation is almost proof on its own, so its not really evidence of a cult like behaviour, also I am not sure who barricaded themselves into a home, nor even why that would be relevant or what the point would be, other than to squeeze another pejorative phrase into the above remarks. The polarised view that we are either optimistic or 'going down' is offering a strange choice to make.
Seriously if you dont have a job writing for the far right political groups you should consider it as your talents are wasted on GOT.
