That would be good with estimated values / price if sold today added to the ones still at the club
I think Walsh might come out around evens
He was deemed a massive failure (I was one of them), as well.

This is the most positive view of that deal you could make.Depends how you view it. Personally I look at it that we have £10 that we earmark to spend on wages for the next two years but someone says nah, keep it. We haven’t been given a fresh £10 note but that £10 now goes to be spent elsewhere which is essentially extra budget.
If the loan fee of 7m just covers wages but I’m not sure what he’s on.
I want Everton to spend £1.8M?….I thought this is exactly what you’ve been asking for, a succession of Managers in control of transfers?
Forget his title, Brands isn’t a DoF in the true sense of the word. As you continually post, players are being brought in by Manager. Brands is an Administrator, I’d have thought you’d be quite happy with that.

It's been shocking business.
We tied up around 30 million and however much in wages with nearly zero return for the team these past 2 years. We have then had to invest signing on fees into 2 veteran free agents to make up for the waste of money that Kean was 2 years ago. We still haven't got that money back into our accounts and won't see it back until 4 years after the lad was signed. From a cash flow perspective it's horrific.

Your attempt at making a case for this Dutch divvy is ridiculous. He hasn;t worlked out. Just accept that..or continue to attempt to score points off me. The choice is yours.
We've tied up nearly 30 million for 4 years and in return we have had Josh King and Salomon Rondon. Here he is, the grim reaper.

I'll have to get Brand's address to send him the Thank You card. lollollol
….i think the process is a shambles, not the appointment.
We know the Manager at Everton acquires the players. Brands makes suggestions which are sometimes endorsed but nothing happens without the green light from the Manager. That is the defined process.
Managers have the power not Brands.
Which is why we are only signing the dross Benitez has either previously worked with or been linked with.
I'd hazard a guess that deals were lined up but rebuffed by the FSW as he hasn't worked with them.
Where did the manager work with Begovic and Gray before Everton mate?
That wasn't the case at the begining when he arrived here, he had much more of a hands on role, and the fact managers are having more say in who comes in underlines his incompetency.….i think the process is a shambles, not the appointment.

If the buck stops with the DoF as @GrandOldTeam has stated, how do you think he's performed since he arrived?…I’m not defending Brands in the least, indeed I have no strong views on his performance but I’ve become convinced the transfer system at Everton is very much centred on the Manager & even the owner.
Brands is on record as saying he cannot bring a player in without Benitez’s approval. Let that sink in, he doesn’t bring players in unless he gets a green light from the Manager. Meanwhile the Manager and owner can bring in players.
The likes of @davek ‘loudly‘ posts that it’s all Brands fault. He selectively notes most of the good signings are down to the Manager whilst the bad ones are Brands. He even claimed DCL as being a Walsh piece of business when it’s known Unsworth went directly to the board and recommended the purchase.
So, the process as reported is; the Manager & Owner bring in players whilst the DoF recommends players that are only acquired if Benitez/Ancelotti et al agree. We can guess who’s responsible for identifying a target but we don’t really know.
At Everton the power of transfers rests with the Manager. Those who argue for a transfer process led by the Manager have got it at Everton.
Folk also argue about our lack of transfer income, but this isn’t down to sales negotiations, this is down to purchase negotiations. It’s not rocket science that ordinary players on extraordinary contracts are impossible to shift.
The assumption is Brands puts them on big contracts, I have no idea if he does, it would be good to know. We have a DoF but not in the sense other clubs employ one.
As I say, I’m not defending him but I don’t think he is as empowered as some think in the transfer process at Everton.
