Why not? Salah, firmino and mane have all started Liverpool's last three games and will almost certainly start again on Thursday.

Once a season the players have to play 3 times in 8 days. I believe they are capable of doing that.

Well, Liverpool have had 13 days to play the same amount of games... mate.

Again got the team selection wrong - John Jo should have been in for the out of form coleman weeks ago and Walcott what a waste of a player - Gomez needed a rest etc etc - on thin ice now as that was worse than big sam dished up and that's difficult to do..........

Is there anyone who hasn’t really had a run out yet apart from Baines and Jags? I think they are the only two changes I’d make. We don’t even know what our best XI is, and we need to find a formula sharpish.

Honestly, if there were 10 changes on Saturday it wouldn't surprise me but it doesn't mean we should be weaker for it. The only change that isn't needed - and I do half expect it but it would be a mistake - is the goalkeeper. Stek will come in and it's just not needed at this stage, even if Pickford does look shaky.

We could probably see Coleman come back in. Well he's our first-choice right-back. Although I could see Kenny getting a run. Jags and Mina will be the CBs. Fine by me. Baines will play LB.

Midfield, I'm sure we'll see Davies. Gomes needs a rest anyway. I'd hope that we'd play Gana, with Gylfi ahead and Bernard/Lookman wide. Select any of three crap/out of form strikers up front.

Davies was awful against Spurs and Lookman is injured. Bernard looked a bit knackered v Brighton.

Original point still stands though, Silva started chopping and changing the lineups against Newcastle, which was ages ago.

Also the same Liverpool players have had to play CL games in December, yet no visible fatigue.

I don't mean no as zero changes from today, your saying play a pretty much second 11, which is daft. He needs to play a full strength team as he would if it's a league game.

Look, it was frustrating that we couldn't break through against a team packing it in against us and that they capitalized on the one glaring mistake we made all game. But the point was that they packed it in against us. We dominated the game and just didn't win. I'll take that ANY day of the week over whatever the heck Sam tried to do last year. I think some of you have forgotten. We got hammered 4-0 at Southhampton. We got completely dominated against West Ham and Watford. It sucks to get a bit unfortunately, but the tactics aren't the issue, we are getting players forward and we aren't really giving up THAT many opportunities - Spurs match aside. Do we need better players? Sure, but this is a heck of a lot better than feeling completely hopeless last year against average teams and praying we hang on or get lucky striking them on the break.
