This time last season after 21 games, Arsenal were 5th on 38 points, this season after 21 games, Arsenal are 5th on 41 points, so the different isnt massive like.
I actually think Arsenal are going backwards. Under Wenger they had won a few FA Cups in recent years and looked competitive, even winning a few against Man City. They may have a few extra points, but the Liverpool display was shocking

Yer wouldnt suprise me if man utd finished above arsenal and a few weeks ago man you where having a “terrible” season and arsenal a “good” one

If Sam’s brief was Europe then not only was it ridiculously unfair as a requirement, but Moshiri is a complete imbecile for giving him a multi-year deal into the bargain.
That's not fair to Moshiri honestly. FSA had all the cards, the club only wanted a 6 month contract bit when they oddly got rebuked by just about everyone he was able to get another years out of it. Which meant when he was sacked he got a full year pair of which he knew he likely wouldn't be working.

I don’t think we would have got relegated, whoever was in charge. Having said that, I remember that talented West Ham squad that conspired to get relegated....

To be fair, it was no worse than two recent shellackings Arsenal had there under Wenger.

Last season, on August Bank Holiday weekend...l.and when the RS were Easter Champions, they were three or four up against Arsenal after about twenty minutes.

I think last season Wenger has lost his authority. Just because he was faded, and had less resources, I think people underestimate how good he still was for Arsenal. They just would not invest sufficiently to be as successful as their entitled fans expect.

Oh I am not arguing with you there.....I loved watching his Arsenal in full flow, even during his latter years.

The “unsuccessful” seasons when they “only” won three F.A. Cups :(

In fact, some fellows on here have been saying we should fire Silva and hire Jose.

Well, if it was a possibility I would have Arsene in to replace Silva tomorrow morning :)

Dont think it’s Marcos fault that our lot couldn’t create a chance from open play if their life depended on it.

Sigurdsson, Richarlison, Bernard, Walcott, all creative on huge wages. He can’t force them to create a chance any more than you or I can, and there’s no way he doesn’t work on it in training.

We’ve got a weird thing where expensive well paid players seem to turn a bit average when they sign for us.
You can’t blame kids in the kindergarten, organisations don’t work this way...

Yeah - he seems to really focus on building a club, and is surprisingly non egotistical

And changin the manager again probably won't work either.
I think we need to accept that we are now a mid table side.
We might not like it. But results tell a tale

So we have gone backwards. Under Moyes Everton finished 5th-7th in most cases. 7 times in 10 full seasons. Martínez got 5th once then slipped. Koeman 7th BFS 8th when he took over on 30 Nov last year.

You have clearly never seen them play a lot, they are complete crap.

In that glorious win by West Ham, we outpossessed them, outshot them, and Pickford had a bad game. They didn't create anything, we just gave them the game with our mistakes. Heck, Oumar came off the bench and hit the post. We had a ton of chances. Beyond that, did you not recall that we started Tosun, DCL, Morgan, Kenny, AND Holgate in that match?

What is the point? They scored 3 and won. It’s like Martínez all over again. Did possession win you points?
