Martinez had that look when we were 28 games 28 points. He didn’t really know what to do as the games were sliding away. Silva has definitely entered that phase. He’s only dipping his toe in at the moment. He needs to turn around before he becomes fully immersed. Couple of wins can do that.

He reminds me of Droopy in the way he looks during a game and how he sounds in his interviews afterwards.

Was thinking he couldn't have asked for a more better game coming up than Huddersfield, then I had to think again.

The celebration of the second against Bournemouth confirmed he was a desperate man for me. It was sort of like he was saying see look I new it would work, but at the same time completely surprised and relived that it did. Not a good sign this early on. He should be fully in control of his work at this point.

I am relatively new here...can someone give me the lowdown, about why Dave @davek gets a hard time on the forum? Is he one of our U20 WC winners? A young english player with loads of potential? Is it cos we're officially not allowed to like Roberto Martinez?

Just want to know if i'm walking into a trap by expressing opinions on GOT

(maybe you can yourself @davek ) Maybe one of the veterans or Supporters can write a little initiation guide for newbies - 'How to Survive in the Forum' What you are allowed to say, etc?

This could be my last post depending on how this is taken :yellow::red:

Koeman, unsworth, allardyce and Silva have struggled to motivate the team. Maybe it's the players who need booting?

We should remain behind Silva. If we don't improve next season, then ask questions. We're not going to improve while we change managers on a yearly basis. We're in a perpetual state of transition.

Hes brought in 6 of his own players though so blaming the players from previous regimes won't cut it right now.

I thought having Brands as a DoF is supposed to make transitions between managers easy?

just post what you think.

you either get 'liked'

or like me, you get told to 'SHUT UP'

Doesn't mean the tactics weren't right.

We created enough to win both of those games.

We were playing excellently in that run, on the whole.

Whether that was an exception to the rule, and 'this' is the real Everton, well at the moment it seems that way, and Silva needs to sort that sharpish.

It’s not right when we can’t beat the dross teams at home. 3 points from playing West Ham, Huddersfield, Watford, Newcastle and Leicester at home.

Could argue that those players have been our best players.

I personally think there's a core at the club that causes the problems, whether intentionally or not. For example, we have always been a predominantly British squad, with a few foreign players. It has gone the other way now. It's interesting that you don't see them socialising (remember a picture that niasse posted of loads of the team having a meal. None of the British players were there, though).

That could explain a chemistry problem if its true. But to be honest the players socialising has nowt to do with poor managerial decisions made by Marco Silva. If there is a rift between players its part and parcel of his 'job' to sort it out. There is a mentality problem at Everton, but our recent choices of managers that we employ to solve the issues and set a team up to win games and trophies is questionable. We need proven people in charge.

Dave likes to question stuff the club does instead of towing the line, he'll take a hard line stance on players who don't perform, and he sticks to his guns, this then winds some lads up who then froth at the mouth. Dave is good stuff, and this forum would be boring if he wasn't on here.
