Realistically, we need a massive cull, which means more money burnt as we will take a hit on a lot of the players we bought.

Can’t see them selling Keane, Klaassen might be given a clean slate, maybe Sandro can be rejuvenated. Reckon Bolasie will still be here too.

The squad is ridiculously top heavy and we could lose 10-15 players without batting an eyelid.

A new LB CM LW CB as starters is enough for one window.

Sandro yes. But Niasse was one of our high points. Yes he has a reputation that he is “crap” but he scored goals off limited playing time. He has proven he isn’t as crap as everyone thinks. He is unorthodox yes. But he clearly has an eye for goal and when he was playing with confidence, some of his play was superb such as his involvement for Gueyes goal at the end of the season (Bear in mind we were useless going forward and not having any shots, he created things)

This is on the verge of becoming another Everton ordeal.

Exactly how I think we should be using him. Next season is another transition year. We need time to get the style set throughout the club. And he has shown he can do a job, and honestly, as an impact sub, who are we going to get better that is happy knowing they are likely to be second, maybe even third choice? If we were realistically going for top 4 then he isn’t good enough, I accept that, but for next season, when we are likely aiming for 7th, 6th if arsenal have a bad year, he can do that for us.
