They should have been sounding people out since the Bournemouth result, It was never going to get better under this manager but I and many others would have hoped he would do enough to get by the season but yesterday was the final straw for most people, So we're just going to let him manage against Leicester and lose us a game because no "good" candidates exist, I mean really.

If they have sounded out managers and got the green light the the manager may still want to see the ground and facilities...if hes from overseas.

Same as the players who see the training ground and stadium...

Poch went and Mourinho came in very fast...but mourinho knows the league.

If you were offered a job overseas wouldnt you want to take a look at the company first?

Not easy to sneak in a foreign manager now with cameras outside...also Jose even slept at spurs training ground :o

She needs to get back in the kitchen where she belongs and if the dinner isn`t ready when her fella comes in, there`ll be hell to pay.

After that she can take the Whippets for their walk and then take the rubbish down to the tip.

Are the whippets called Morgan and Gylfi ?

As a mark of protest at Silva remaining as manager, I will not be buying the club's Christmas jumper this year. They can stick their 25 quid.

Thats absolutely brutal.

Or stupidity mate lol

I just dont want us handing that lot a vital 3 points - we are strangely one of the only sides along with City and Utd who look capable of putting them under a bit of pressure and taking points off them (as shown last season).

I'll be gutted if they win the league by 1-3 points thinking had we gone there with a new manager at the helm with new manager bounce we could have taken something from them on the night.

With the current fella we'll get tonked and humiliated.

Well they’ll win it by about 8 points instead so luckily you don’t have to worry about that one.

You know how bad things are now when even @matty1878 has had enough and wants him gone asap. Cant be many left now who still want him to be given more time. Yesterdays appalling performance was a significant turning point i think.

Re-read my post.

I think that there is no chance Moshiri votes to keep Silva...

The ONLY reason he would is if he has spoken with him and Brands and realises they need a huge pot of money to turn things around on the pitch...

My view is either;

We keep Silva and he is given £100mil+ in Jan

We keep Silva until a top replacement agrees to come onboard

We fire Silva and have a top manager in place

I cannot see any other outcomes as the fans will turn on the board.

The thing is he doesn’t need a huge pot of money to turn things around. He has a decent squad at his disposal. It’s entirely his fault that we are where we are and that’s the simple truth. He sets the team every week with the same tried and tested formation with the same tried and tested system, with the same tried and tested personnel. He admitted himself yesterday that we didn’t have enough pace or attacking urgency to get at Norwich yesterday, yet he starts the game with Tosun and Sigurdsson as our main attacking outlets. While the likes of Iwobi and Kean are left out.

How many of the clubs, especially the newly promoted clubs have better squads than ours? They simply don’t.

We have a crap manager who can’t get the best out of a decent group of players. Giving him another 100m ain’t gonna solve our problems.

You know what will really piss me off.....this clown will probably fluke a win against Leicester and then by some miracle get a draw against Satan's spawn and we will be stuck with this fraud until the end of the season watching his bizarre team selection, then awful substitution choices and inevitable lose every time someone scores against us first.....Hooray, i cant wait!!

If that means with finish with 40 points plus I’d take it now without hesitation

much prefer our stupid club went manager shopping in summer rather than now

Let's look at it in stages

1. I expect the board to show patience and commitment to Marco Silva
2. I expect them to have an agreement in place with a well regarded, in demand manager who will hold all other plans, reject all other offers and keep a "go bag" by the door ready to be at Finch Farm within 24 hours if and when we do sack Silva at some indeterminate point.

Those two things arent compatible.

Tottenham did.

I rather want Fat Sam instead of this incompetent clown, and I hated him. That's how much I despise Silva!

fat Sam had us 8th with Martina, Williams and Rooney in the team.

He would easily have us top 10 at present.

I dont want him either but its astonishing that some cant see that Silva is the worst manager we've had since Walker.

Tottenham did.

Except they didn't did they? They knew after the blades game he was toast. So they went out and made a deal in principle with Mourinho (see the story about them having lunch 2 weeks ago) then punted Poch once that was done.

Theres no way Mourinho would sit there for weeks and weeks on the off chance Spurs decide to get rid.

The reason they were able to do it so quickly was that everything was already in place.

You can't argue the board should back Silva until yesterday then moan that backing him didn't involve having a top manager hanging by the telephone just in case.

Mate unsworth tried and he can’t do it. The board are an utter joke
The country has shown it’s a laughing stock, with all the Brexit mess. We are the same in English football, we are a joke, laughing stock, Silva should have been gone months ago. Whether unsworth could improve us or not, he certainly couldn’t do any worse, tbh unsworth worse is still better than what Silva has been serving up this season.

Warning signs where there with Silva sadly.

Ex Watford and Hull City manager with nothing of note to his ‘accomplishments’.

I’d like to think we will learn something from all these dud appointments but we probably won’t.

Is he as good as Walker? Silva has much better players than walker had. Tbh Blaming Silva is wrong he shouldn’t even be in charge, should have been gone weeks ago, he’s going to have to be pushed as he won’t quit, that would be to much financial loss to him, the board is at fault letting this carry on so long, they did the same with Koeman.
