I don't even care if he's manager for the rest of the year, if I were to go on Saturday I would be making my feelings towards the board loud and clear as best I could. Clear and utter incompetence from the caretakers of the club. Have no idea what they are doing at best(Moshiri), should have been walked out the door a decade + ago(Kenwright) and should never have been hired to begin with (DBB).

He’s actually won more than he’s lost... though he is totally lost now.

What alternative?

The derby is going to be literally horrific.

Repeating myself on all threads here, Silva should be sacked but its not just his fault.
Director of football model hasnt worked since day one. We have put around £300m into this DoF model, sacked one, second isnt working, three managers and one interim, nobody has a clue what to do with the players and we are weaker now than three years ago, know why?
Because the manager doesnt pick his own team to fit his own ideas. The DoF does.

Wonder why Marco doesnt know what to do with Kean and Iwobi? Because he didnt want them. Koeman had the same issue with walsh buying 3-4 attacking midfielders and being told to sort it on the pitch.

Not just slating brands for everything but the model really is flawed, hence why bringing moyes in wouldnt work to 'save us'.

I see your point, but I think the current DOF should have a chance to bring his own manager in before we give up completely on the model. Silva was Moshiri's man.

It shows how bad things have got when we're bigging up a performance against Leicester.

exactly, a performance in which we were OK but still didn't have any shots on target except for the goal did we?

a manager with any clue brings kean on a lot earlier when they are pushing for the equaliser and catches them on the break

we just waited and waited and then inevitably conceded

The board obviously cannot be sacked, but they are guilty of gross incompetence, and not just this season either.....DOF system clearly not working, Moshiri dithering, Kenwright still involved in decisions....slowly sliding towards the championship. No wonder the rs are laughing at us.

On a serious note, I think that's exactly what they're doing. They may have at least learned a thing or two from the Koeman sacking?

The difference between Silva and those who have gone before him is that it appears that the players are still playing for him, which couldn't be said for Martinez, Koeman or to a less extent Sizeable Sam.
Two issues here:
1) Even if they "learned" something from Koeman sacking, they should have been sounding out replacements since late September. Again, absolutely no foresight whatsoever. Spurs sacked someone and later that day replaced him. Arsenal sacked their manager and had a "caretaker". Watford...well, they are shambolic but at least, again, THEY had foresight.

2) Don't you think that's a bigger issue? If they players are still "playing for him" and we still cannot find a way to win, doesn't that suggest the man setting them up has no idea what he is doing?

Leicester had 70% possession mate, they had 16 attempts on goal with 6 on target, we had 11 attempts on goal with 3 on target.

Denise, Blue Bill, and Farhad...the dream team

What about the fans Adam, it's okay having the players still playing for you (yet we're still getting beat, and still cack) but when it looks like you've lost the fans there is no coming back from that. I mean the end of that Norwich game was the worst reaction I've seen towards a manager at Goodison, Martinez and Koeman included, the anger was immense.

1) I agree. Although we don't actually know if they did and just haven't been able to get the guy they wanted?

2) I also agree. Just because they like him doesn't mean he knows what he is doing.
