This is the problem of where we are at currently. To me it was very reminiscent to the end of the Koeman era, where players who weren't in the team's value suddenly grew on the basis that it was perceived an increasingly unpopular manager didn't like them. It culminated in Vlasic playing in a midfield 2 with Gana and we got hammered for 5 in that game.

Yep, and what worries me is that Silva is already sliding into that territory with his "chuck on all the attackers and hope for the best" routine. The Sheff Utd manager saw what was happening, went "ok", got his team ready to counter-attack and they scored the second on the break.

Total rubbish mate.

You can try keep blaming a player who hasn't set foot on the field all season but it's a totally bizarre agenda.

No, I'm not blaming him for the current form. I'm saying, he is clearly not even close to being the solution.

Shambles that Moshiri hasn't the guts to hold his hands up and sack this useless tit.

He's had more chances than Koeman and Alladyce he's the kin teachers pet.

Why???? He's the worst offender in the last three years! He's made zero progress. He's appalling.

Seriously he's played what 70-odd games for the club and it is mad that people still cannot see this

However poor he may or may not be he is better than Siggurdson and Schneiderlin.

I said potential and that we must wait. We have to wait because both have just signed for new clubs and we have to wait to see how they perform in their respective clubs. I can agree that Nagelsmann can be difficult to get, but he is a young and exciting manager type. When it comes to Potter, he performed miracles with Østersund, did a huge job with Swansea - given the conditions - and he did this by playing offensive and expansive football. If he manages to keep Brighton in the PL with this philosophy then I think he has done a very good job. His name, on the other hand, is not very exotic.
If you're going to look at Potter you'd have to look at Eddie Howe first and I for one want Eddie Howe nowhere near the club.

No point sacking him now, No one good is around.
Just get through the season in whatever position we finish and bin him off.

Could do it now whilst we are in both cups and not too far behind in the league.

It's the beginning of the end for Silva for me. You can just tell, I think he's losing the players, the fans and its only going to get worse.

Whilst I agree its silly to sack him, Mourinho Wenger Allegri Enrique Blanc are all out of work.
Mourinho and Wenger are both washed up and wouldn't take it anyway. Allegri no shot. Enrique I'm not even convinced is that great of a manager. Those Barcelona teams were absurdly talented. Blanc is a bit meh.

None of those scream long term success in my opinion.

As much as admire Wenger & Mourinho for the achievements, they are not the answer for right now...younger versions of them yes absolutely ! ( but who are they?..they are out there.)
Allegri wouldnt touch us with a barge pole lets be realistic.

I think Silva might have been doing this last season too. Take the goalie off and put on 4 strikers. It is a fairly strong indicator that things are not in control, that there is desperation there.
