He doesn't have the team fired up. OK, I'm not a fan of Sigs, Morgan and other recruits he's not 'responsible' for, but he must get effort and application. He doesn't.

As a long time fan of Moyes, I've had had a huge respect for the achievements of Brighton, Burnley, Villa (whom I previously loathed), Newcastle, Sheff Utd, Leicester (now), Bournemouth. Mostly teams whom we might have rather patronisingly said punched above their weight, but now out-pointing or on par with Everton.

With the exception of Rafael, they're doing it with gritty teams, hard-working, British manager.

We've lost that, it's priceless. It can't be bought.

We need youth in that team, character in our leaders and I'm not clear why Brands appears to be out of the picture for criticism, too. We've needed a decent CF for 4 seasons. He's culpable for that over the 3-4 windows he's had do do something about it.
Yep, We've completely lost it since Moyes left, Money has somehow made this club worse when it was all what we craved under Moyes.
We have no fight no grit, Some of Moyes games against the top 4 wasn't nice but I knew on our day we could battle battle battle battle and we've completely lost it since he's gone.
I just don't know anymore with this club when things start looking up we somehow go 100mph into the darkness for no reason.

Has an opportunity to turn it round here. That’s the sign of good managers. He needs to show he has what it takes to find solutions here. Moyes went through some terrible spells but he kept the fans on side because he had credit in the bank and because he found answers within the squad. Silva needs to show he can do the same. The form of United Chelsea and Spurs means nothing is lost yet. We can still finish this season in Europe, gone deep in both cups, a settled first 11 and Silva in place going into another window of improvement. He needs to earn it though, if he allows the classic Everton death spiral to take hold and we crash out the cup and plummet towards relegation then he’ll be fired. Just keep the ship steady, ride out the storm and all is still there post January for us. The players need to step up as well and that’s where I fear for him because a lot of them are utter cowards who would gladly see another manager fired.

Watched a bit of the 04/05 highlights the other day. What strikes you is the intensity and skill of that midfield three in the first half of the season. Carsley Gravesen Cahill just battled teams into the ground and then when allowed to play could really mix it up in a variety of ways. Surges through the centre, interplay round the box, strikes from distance, headers, dribbles in midfield. Complete night and day from the passive, side to side midfield approach we’ve had for years.

We don’t even do that, we’re trying to cross to one or two players every time. Sigurdsson doesn’t get in the box, he just stands in his square of the pitch waiting for something to drop to him.

This is a small sample but if you watch closely this set up happens constantly when we have extended possession. Players in the center just drift into the box and the wide players are left to hit and hope on a cross.

If we actually got Mourinho in there would be a black hole created in our solar system from the friction generated from my furious masturbating - make it happen Farhad.

A couple more poor performances and the axe will be wielded i think, we are after all about 50 competitive games into his tenure if you include the cup competitions and not just the 6 poor games of this season and there are no excuses for not having enough time to be able to get the best out of your squad and have a proper plan and some consistency and thus no reason to waste any further time on it.

Should be already gone after the performances this season imo as he is clearly not the man to take us forward no matter what happens now.

No doubt we'll plod along until there is nothing left to play for and then churn out a few good results and give us all hope for next season only to crush us again next September.... Let me tell you something about hope my friends. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane. SILVA OUT realistically i'd take a loss V Wednesday if it means Silva gets punted and Rafael or Mouriniho in ASAP.
I can agree with your last point, but we need to stay in the cup, winning that game wont save his job, take the loss against City. Obviously a loss against city alone wont boot him, but the last thing we need is a result there which will buy him time.
We need him out ASAP, it's far more important long term then a fluke point at the weekend

I understand give him time to sort it shouts. I for one don’t like chopping mangers every season, but we can’t be seeing displays like we have against teams we should be beating. Second season we should be seeing at slight improvement from last season at least. I understand we lost 2 main players last season, but we should still have enough to beating certain teams in this league.
