Stability is a nonsensical argument. Continuity is pointless if what we currently have is not an acceptable level.

If someone is failing they need replaced. We shouldn't be scared of chopping and changing. Lots of succesful teams have done it till they found the right man.

We can still salvage this year so act now. Not in January. That is what a small time club with no standards would do.

David moyes and Sam allardyce are right type men. They get the best out of their players, they maintain a professional mentality and work ethic within their teams. They know how to achieve results and what is required to improve teams. The majority of Everton fans didnt want either. You reap what you sow

Moyes was here for 11 years.

Moyes and Allardyce have a trophy list as long as their ability as a manager deserves.

Allardyce isn’t and never was the answer, disgusting how people still wish we’d kept him in charge

If you were top of your field in your job, highly sought after and succesful, would you join a middle of the road company based on sweet nothings and no track record?

No-one worth their managerial record would want to come here, that is a fact. Could you see a top manager joining bournemouth, west ham, watford, (insert name here) team?

We are them, we laugh at those clubs but were are them. Worse in fact, an extremely high wage bill for medicore talent that we spend more time trying to offload every summer than replacing them. No track record of any success, fans that turn on the players every week, a staggered squad that will fall apart without success in the near future. A rival club that is massively overperforming, a league in which the division between the top and the rest has grown exponentially in the past few years running even the great premier league clubs to the wayside.

Look at our squad, look at what it takes now to win the league, how much money it would take and how hindered we are by terrible previous business.

This is where we are now, we cant attract the players / manager we think we deserve because truth is, we don't. We are a nothing club and have been for years, just another name in the fixture list rather than a team to look out for.It is easy as a fan to say 'what about xxxxx' but truth be told why would they join us knowing chelsea/united/real madrid/juventus/inter milan/ bayern munich / psg (the list could go on) would take them up in a heartbeat?

Us appointing the likes of silva is where we need to be, but its luck rather than experience. Who knows if the next silva is actually a new potch/klopp style manager? There has to be some sort of barometer in place for managers, something i said a week or so back. Judge a manager on performance rather than potential. Sadly we are at least another 3 years of really being in a fresh situation and only then may we dream of a better manager.

This club has regressed since Moyes left. Fact.

Moyes was here for 11 seasons. He did a good job but left at the right time.

Sam was diabolical.

Silva is not good enough.

Other managers do exist.

The only argument for keeping him that I've seen is "you can't keep changing managers". It's not that "he is a good head coach", it's not that he has tactical nous, it's not that he motivates, it's not that he is charismatic. It's "you cant keep changing managers".

Stability for stability's sake is absolutely idiotic.

This 100%.

And sacking him just to replace him with Marco Silva mark 2 is also idiotic.

People say that every season to a degree. I've always said a lot of fans have been scarred by the Smith and Walker years, that we press the panic button. We're 7 games in. Lesser teams have been rock bottom by Xmas and pulled themselves out repeatedly (see Palace) for us to even be anywhere near them.

The only time I was worried was under Koeman mainly due to the fact we had zero plan. We've a plan, we've better players, we just need form.

This is even before we start thinking of challenging above. That's where Silva gets judged at the end of the season.

This. I do it myself to be fair because that era was horrific, but it’s also the reason I know we won’t get into trouble as sooner or later with Silva or another manager we will go on a run. Our home form will save us for a start.
