Got to say I feared for him at Half time and for us. I still think there is something not clicking. The players seem together on the pitch, they all ran to celebrate both goals but watching Silva on the touch line, I just sense that all is still not right and the win only masks some issues

The whole situation has a strange feeling to it.

Yes we havent an amazing squad but we certainly have players good enough for us to be in 7/8th at present - it feels like we are purposely being made to suffee by the board.

When I say that its not like we are in a Watford/Norwich scenario with an owner with limited funds, a small club and limited players bar one or two - we are a bigish club, good fanbase, owner willing to spend more than most in the league/Europe on signings and pay good wages - why the hell are we sticking with the fella and every week saying "lets hope for a draw and not to get bummed"

Ffs we should be better than that - its just strange.

Question is, if we'd not collapsed at Brighton due to a combination of VAR BS, inherent cowardice and a screw-up by the Gallic Baines, would the knives still be out for Silva - we would be a good few places higher.

The sideways passing and inability to break a side down is down to MS but can't shake the feeling some experienced players have failed to step up this season.

I don't think they would.

On the flip side, we should not have lost that match regardless of the VAR decision.

Silva needs the team to win this Sunday or I think he is gone.

do you realize the var gave one penalty? The useless poor excuse for a manager conceded another 2.

the ignorance to claim another loss is due to var and not an incompetent manager.
Can't blame the manager for his keeper letting a shot go through his hands..
And the last goal wouldn't have been an issue had we not had a non-penalty given against us to shift the momentum

Reminds me of Martinez in his final season when we were good in the cup but awful in the league. I can see him being here until we're out of the cup.

Anyone think the change in Assistant has had an impact? I just can't warm to Boa Morte at all. He was a snide on the pitch, and seeing home holding that iPad barking out instructions sends shivers down my spine! lol

Nothing has changed imo. Great to be through to the quarter finals of the league cup but lets be honest, we were playing against a rooted to the bottom team that hasn't won all season and put out their b team and we still struggled against them for about the first 60 minutes of the game and at home too. Lose against Spurs on Sunday leaving us still floating around the relegation zone and they will have no choice but to remove him.

Good thing is that at least the next man will be able to have a crack at the league cup so its all good.
