They were the opposition mate .
We had no other choice
Fair but let’s be realistic with what the result is indicating. Some clowns on here seriously justifying that win proves something that in reality it does not.

reading through some of this type of banter is nauseating.

yes we were the better of two very poor teams that played.

sack Silva or not I’m back and forth to be honest.

sacking another with a stop gap approach seems detrimental.

Riding out a poor decision to begin with, that clearly is going to lead us nowhere, seems just as detrimental.

But claiming that win was something to proud of and enough to beat back the so called bed wetters is even beyond detrimental.

Reading some of the other stuff too is also nauseating.
It goes totally from one extreme to the other depending on the result.
For a lot of people there is no middle ground.

I think the point he is attempting to make is that we shouldn't get carried away by a two-nil victory over an atrocious Watford, likewise with our win over West Ham.

A victory is always a positive and something we can build upon, but we have to balance it against losing to Brighton, Burnley, Villa, Sheff United and Bournemouth.

Until we start seeing consecutive victories and then a series of good results, Silva will be under pressure; we need to be winning our bread and butter games!

My 5 year old nephew I spoke to on the phone before. He brought up Everton and asked why we are so bad. Had to hang the phone up and nearly teared up then and there. This is what this necker has done to our club. Crushed the youth dreams.

Erm...

How can we not get Mourinho?
He was interviewed by us before, turns out the United job came up so he took that.

Unless a bigger club that ticks all his boxes comes along then he would come to us. Arsenal and Spurs I dont think would want him, so when he speaks of wanting to return to the Premier League, we are the only viable choice.

Make a statement Mosh - get him in!

Not sure anyone got Carried away to be fair. Of course he is under pressure. But we won 2 games we should be winning and were unfortunate in the third .

Was he? I don't think Mourinho would be interviewed by anyone myself. More the other way around.

It might suit his purposes to flirt with us, but as I see things it would only be to fish out interest from elsewhere.

I don't see the argument that after the career he has had, his only viable option is to join Everton.

He has options, plenty of them, and we don't offer a package either in terms of salary or transfer budget that would even vaguely interest him.
