Martinez: Everton players fear Goodison Crowd

I believe the manager should be left to manage. None of us have a thimbleful of his experience and expertise.

Undermining him and his players is counter productive.
None of the patients have the expertise of a Dr or a customer of a mechanic, but you'd let them know if they've done a crap job right? Then excusing the Real Madrid team because they're more renown players? What are our players? Unknown semi-pros on 500 quid a week? Come on Dave, you must be on a wind up.

Jesus H Navas, you've developed some sort of paranoid siege mentality of hitler-like proportions. Hitler blamed all around him near the end. He said the german people didn't deserve to survive because they never fully backed him.

You've lost it. I expect you'll be chewing the furniture soon....

Godwin's Law. Always the last resort.

Godwin's Law. Always the last resort.

Far from it.

It's the perfect example of your paranoia. You've resorted to blaming everyone bar those directly responsible.

It's that sort of laissez-faire attitude that's one of the reasons they're scared (If they actually are - it's just a weaselly cop-out imo.)

On a wind up to state that supporters on their own team's back from the get go is an asset to the opposition?

In what world is that a wind up?

This is exactly it. Why most fans can't see any grey areas is weird. Yes, players are professionals and should be able to perform under pressure. But why all this over the top hostility to a manager merely stating the simple truth that if you make Goodison somewhere the opposition are scared of rather than our players then it's clearly adding to the problem.
Stones does need to concentrate on his development but there'll be plenty of people telling him that as well as the fans. But anyone whose played football at any level will tell you it almost guarantees you make mistakes if someone can't wait to give you stick whatever you do.
It may not be the main thing but we're talking small margins and a handful of goals between a team underperforming and one in the top four, so why don't we just try adding the pressure to the away side.

Likening someone to Hitler because they speak the obvious truth about fan/team relations?

I'm not sure the Nuremburg Court would have been too happy with that time wasting argument.

If the players were worried about the home fans, surely you'd go right, get that ball and let's have a shot or something and get the crowd behind us, instead they let Swansea have the ball for almost 3 minutes which took the spark out the crowd, then had Stones trying to play instead of smashing the ball up field which resulted in a pen and going a goal down in 15 minutes

I'd be surprised if most of the people having a go at the Goodison crowd in this thread were actual match goers themselves
Nonsense. As much as people claim they are entitled to have a go at players then people are entitled to say that it gets on their nerves and clearly effects the team. It's not saying all the crowd are terrible or that it's the only difference, but this kind of over defensive reaction displays people know it and won't admit it.

Our season speaks for itself. Home and away form. Our players prefer to be on the road. They dont wan to play at Goodison because they cant express themselves.

EVERYONE honest enough to tell the truth knows the validity of that statement.

If they could arrange it, these players would play all the remaining games away from home. Not a shadow of a doubt about that.

It's criminal.

The excuses you give. That's a wind up. Stating your reasons as irrefutable evidence, that's a wind up. Declaring the majority of media sources as being biased. That's a wind up

its as simple as this:

the pampered quilts need to grow a pair and get stuck into the other team.

A Goodison crowd will always back a proactive team regardless of the level of 'quality/ability' on show.

The quicker the prat organising them get's it into his idealistic head the better. Otherwise he can do one, and take the clown in goal with him.

The stick most of the players who went on to win two leagues got when they were struggling with confidence would indicate this isn't completely accurate
