Well nobody "has" to but most of the time they will go back there.

Nobody knows if they would be there still or not but its hard to keep a club that size going in the top flight. Bournemouth will be the next one I reckon. The club as a whole over acheived massively.
Steve Bruce and Paul Jewell managed to keep them in the league quite well. Only Martinez got them relgated.

I'd rather get the semi finals than go out to Norwich n Leicester at home in the first couple of rounds

I rather we can beat West Ham and Stoke at home.

Semi finals and got beaten? It's the same when you knocked out by Leicester in the third round you got nothing.

Sigh.... for an amount of time yes. It was only a matter of time though no matter who was in charge.

What have Bruce and Jewell done since?

The bigger clubs get stronger as time goes on leaving the smaller clubs with whats left, eventually you start to throw daft wages at risky players and the whole thing implodes. Happens everywhere.

Dont get me wrong, he could have done better in the end there but its certainly not his fault that they went down to League One. That happens quite often too.

I'd rather get to the latter stages of cups to have a chance of winning them. Just think people go over the top with the Martinez hate tbh like they do with certain players aswell, over exaggerate so much...

I like a nice cup run and it put us in with a chance of getting the final... So you'd rather go out the Europa league qualification rounds than get the semis next season?

I rather Everton do both and should be doing.

Doing well in the league and go for a cup at the sametime. No contradiction at all.

Should have sacked him before the semi (I said this before the semi last year) Everton stood a better chance of winning it.

Maybe, maybe not.

This in no way absolves those players. Not that it matters (who am I like?) but quite a few of our "superstars" marked their card with me that day.

I think you have more than just a manger, even at international level, mon ami. But apologies it's Graeme Jones & Bergara he took with him and has to pay from his salary.

Of course but not a first team development coach for obvious reasons.

I do love how people have a go at Big Dennis when not many people actually realized what he did. Some people were having a go at him for being a rubbish defensive coach even when he wasn't one!

22 wins out of 75 matches in 2 seasons actually mate.

But does it matter how many point you get if you dont win it?

Obviously it does but just turning your semi final opinion back on you here...

Every game matters. I want to win every game regardless.

Gives you hope throughout the season though right? Extra games to look forward to etc.

True. Hope.

I actually mean getting beaten in semi and third round is the same we get nothing.

At the sametime, I would love Everton to do ok in the league 6th/7th will do. The standard will get higher if a good investment is there this summer.

It does because best of the rest in the league is the minimum requirement. You get EL.
