Hopeless. 11 seasons and f.a. That's the bottom line.Bit like the Moyesiah then. League positions in last 7 season: 6, 5, 5, 8, 7, 7, 6 against 5, 11, 11 before he was put out of his misery by the Carpetbagger.
Hopeless. 11 seasons and f.a. That's the bottom line.
I talk of points won because they're the only thing that will get us a CL place (the 4th place under him was an utter fluke...how can it be described any other way when we got 61 points that season to get a CL play off spot?)
Moyes was without any redeeming featureas apart from his capture of some bargains...though even that not as many as some would have you believe.
He was found out after leaving here: a dullard, clueless biff.
Thank God we have this comedy thread for some light relief.
Yeah fourth place was an utter fluke, much like Martinez finishing fifth also was. The devil is in the detail though, over the course of eleven full season's under Moyes we finished sixth on three occasions, seventh and fifth twice, fourth, eighth, eleventh and seventh once.Hopeless. 11 seasons and f.a. That's the bottom line.

Did he?
As said many times, I was told it wasn't his idea.
Personnel not there to get the football required. Just look at what happens when he does get accomplished players to organise: Belgum's best ever couple of years in their history.
god what a celebration this is, absolute king"As a player I would say he is a complete footballer...someone who copes with the physicality of the game but brings a really strong back-to-goal play in the forward position and with real quality finishing in his make-up.."
That's nonsense Dave. Better to finish top with 81 points, as Leicester did, than 2nd with 84 than Slippy's lot did. Positions count, and Moyes holds our best ever record in the Premier League era, sadly.
Let us not forget that we also finished 3 points better off than the RS that season, would have been more if we hadn't flogged Mad Dog to Real halfway through the season.
...and nearly relegated when he cratered us at 17th.Yeah fourth place was an utter fluke, much like Martinez finishing fifth also was. If Moyes is a poor manger then Martinez isn't fit to manage a Sunday league side. Moyes consistently delived better results, better league place finishes and better signings for us then Martinez ever did.
A scout who worked for the club at the time.Who told you D-man?
But I didn't! Lol, the 17th place finish is mentioned right there in the part you highlighted!...and nearly relegated when he cratered us at 17th.
Funny you should leave that one out.
