But I didn't! Lol, the 17th place finish is mentioned right there in the part you highlighted!:)

FYI, we were never in real danger of getting relegated that season. It was an awful season that fell completely apart in the last few weeks but everyone knew we weren't going down. We were comfortably safe long before any relegations were confirmed and even after our total collapse we still finished six points clear.

Now with all that being said, Moyes would of been sacked by Oct the following season had that unacceptable form continued. It didn't though did it? We all know how the next season went because it was and remains our best Premier League season. Things got better because unlike Martinez, Moyes never allowed us to have two compelty unacceptable seasons in a row. He was given time, just like Martinez was but unlike Martinez things got better and things improved under his watch.
No, it's not mate. Go and read your own post again.

What else do you think I meant at the end of that post mate? I'd already pointed we'd finished seventh twice a few words earlier so it was pretty clear that I meant seventeenth at the end. You're either being deliberately arsey over an obvious typo to score internet points or oblivious to somthing that should be clear to anyone who read that post.

Yeah bad typo on my part, I do that quite a lot (my dyslexia doesn't help) but it was clear I meant seventeenth. You're not stupid mate, you knew what was meant.

How am I supposed to understand you made a mistake?

Heard it all now.

What did you think was meant when I'd already typed that we'd finished seventh on two occasions? Why on earth would I type that again just to say once? Especially when I made the point of saying we'd finished fourth, eighth, eleventh and (I messed up at this stage) seventh one one occasion, when I obviously meant seventeenth.

Whatever. Its pointless us rowing over this further.

Imagine still earning 750k a year while mid level Championship managers earn 5 times that amount.

Thank God he rinsed us for that 10m otherwise he would be selling his arse in Brussels for Euros.
Belgium used Kenwright's panic to secure Martinez to fund their World Cup qualifying campaign and WC Finals.

Now that's funny.

Sadly he was given the impression of competence by the clown.

Managed 2x 11th place finishes with our best Striker in decades.

Imagine not winning the world cup with the team he had.

The fact is he stretched Everton's squad football-wise to its very limits - the ability in it was less elastic than he'd given credit for it having. He was naive and should have cut his losses after season two and (if he wished to stay) play percentage football and find row z on more occasions when it was needed.

Belgium: he took them as far as they could go. In all fairness, the French team that knocked them out rode their luck and got away with Lukaku being out of sorts on the night when handed two good chances. That was a toss up, and if they'd won that they'd have beaten Croatia more convincingly than the French did.

These of the facts about Martinez.

If people choose not to accept them because of their bitterness, I cant control that.

...and nearly relegated when he cratered us at 17th.

Funny you should leave that one out.

But he learned from his mistakes, called in his senior players to find out what went wrong towards the end of that season and sorted it out. He learned his lessons; Roberto, unfortunately, never did.

I seem to remember Giroud missing at least two sitters. Should have been about 4-1 in the end.
